Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a committed Christian with a strong faith who puts her full trust in God. I pray regularly asking God to guide me in my day to day live, to protect my family and friends, and to grant me wisdom and discernment. My faith plays a key role in my service as a legislature as I look to God and his holy word for wisdom on how we should deal with the many issues and challenges facing North Carolina and for guidance on how I should vote on the legislation we are considering. I will continue to do so as a member of Congress.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
My legislative record proves I am a strong conservative. Here is just some of the legislation I have sponsored during my time in the House: - Welfare Reform - Tax Reform (taking NC's tax burden from highest to lowest in the southeas) - Unemployment Insurance Reform, paying of NC's nearly $3 Billion debt to the Federal Government and lowering taxes on NC businesses by more than $600 million per year - Jessica Law's - increasing penalties on sexual predators who prey on children - Legislation that brought concealed carry to North Carolina and legislation that expanded our concealed carry rights - Ethics Reform - banning gifts and political contributions from lobbyists - HB2 - Keeping me out of women's bathrooms, locker rooms, and shower facilities - Numerous bills that restrict abortion rights - Legislation that protects our religious freedom And these are just bills I've sponsored!

Additional comment from candidate:
Most of the candidates in this race talk like a conservative. Some of them have voted conservative. However, I'm the only candidate in the race who has written, shaped, and enacted real conservative reforms. I am an author and sponsor of North Carolina's welfare reform. I am an author and sponsor of North Carolina's tax reform lowering taxes across the board on families and small businesses. I am an author and sponsor of the legislation that reformed our unemployment insurance system enabling our state to pay off it's nearly $3 Billion debt to the federal government and lowering taxes on NC businesses by more than $600 million. It's one thing to talk conservative or to push the right button when you vote. It's another to write and sponsor real conservative reforms, see them into law, and put them into action! That's making a real difference. It's what I've done in Raleigh and it's transformed our state's economy. It's what I'll do in Washington!
