QUESTIONNAIRE*
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
A fetus may be removed that has already died, for example, death by natural causes, or death by other types of unforeseen circumstances (such as car accidents). Abortion, that is, the abortion of a person's life -- involves at least four primary individuals (without which, an abortion cannot occur): A father, a mother, a baby, and a person who performs the abortion. A baby's father or mother should not be aborted unless proven guilty of a capital crime by a jury of its peers in a court of law. A person who performs an abortion should not be aborted unless proven guilty of a capital crime by a jury of his/her peers in a court of law. A baby who is in the womb should not be aborted unless proven guilty of a capital crime by a jury of his/her peers in a court of law. This analysis (though seemingly quite strained) begs the underlying question: Does all human life have equal dignity?
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Many government institutions might function better if their core or supportive operations were handled in the private sector (the "minimal governance" component being relegated to the government).
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The term "separation of church and state" is a logically incoherent term-of-art, often used by people as a means of bending the concepts of church and state to their perception of each -- and attempting to impose their interpretations on others. The concept is not found in the scriptures -- nor in the mind of God -- nor in the Person (Jesus) who is the simultaneously and inseparately the head of the church (His Body) and who is the King of the kings of the Earth.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Private insurance is preferable to public healthcare economic coverage; however, public healthcare coverage should be available to provide a minimal and temporary safety net when other means prove to be inadequate.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
People who seek to become U.S. citizens should be allowed to do so -- within the law.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
God the Father, in an ultimate demonstration of His goodness, sent His Son Jesus Christ to become a man and take on the punishment for man's sins. Jesus, in an ultimate demonstration of His love, laid down His life for mankind on the cross. The Holy Spirit, in an ultimate act of His justice, mercy, and power, raised Jesus from the dead and applied Jesus' redemptive payment towards me -- a sinner -- by re-creating me as a new person, a child of God. Jesus, in an ultimate act of joy, filled me with His Holy Spirit.
