16. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
The Founders recognized the sin nature of Man and knew that self interest would corrupt those in power. The separation and limits of power in the Constitution were provided to counter this natural tendency by dividing power among various government entities. This system of checks and balances prevents the unrestrained use of power of a few to inappropriately control the lives of citizens and thereby weaken individual liberty and God given rights.
17. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a sinner redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. I am saved by my acceptance of Christ death as payment of the penalty for my sins. My salvation is my legal standing before God, it occurred at a point in time, solely through the work of God; my efforts contributed nothing to this condition. I am saved through faith alone, by Christ alone. I am in the process of being sanctified (growing in my faith). Sanctification is a process that is an ongoing work that progresses over time through the joint efforts of God and Randy.
