Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only and I do say only to save the life of the mother, but every effort must be made to save them both. This choice is to be made by the family and not by government or doctors.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Man has a propensity to become corrupt and dictatorial when power and money are acquired. The America's Founders understood the nature of man is to misuse authority, therefore the authority to governs was divided into three powers. Legislature, Executive and Judicial Apart from the moral nature grace by God man will surely misuse the authority and powers entrusted to them. The separation and dividing of powers was one safeguard against such.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that man is born with a sin nature and in desperately in need of a Savior to change that sin nature. I believe God sent His Son Jesus Christ to the earth to take man's sin, by dying upon a cross. He was buried, rose, ascended and now sits at the right hand of the Father. I believe that Jesus Christ is soon to return to the earth to receive those who trust Him for salvation.Salvation comes by faith through grace. I believe America's only hope is found in God's extended mercy and grace. I also believe that America must return to a Biblical Worldview. It is my belief and understand that America was founded and established upon the very truths and principals founded in Bible. I also believe that all of our communities, cities and citizens are best served when a Christian Biblical worldview is established in our society. Through this Biblical worldview a greater level of freedom, liberty and prosperity is possible to the greatest number of people.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I believe life began at conception. I believe that freedom is granted by a Benevolent God and not given by government. It also believe that marriage is only between one man and one woman. I believe in limited government over our lives and liberties. Government serves the people and never the people serving the will of government. I believe Government was instituted to do what the citizens could not do for themselves, such as national defense. I also believe in Fiscal restraint, by establishing and maintaining a balance budget. A 19 trillion dollar deficit is negligent and irresponsible by all of our elected official. We must deal with the out of control spending of our government. I also believe our federal government must secure our boarders! We must not give access to the homeland until we know who we are letting into our country. One of America's greatest threats is the growing quest of Islamic Sharia Law. This is one of the greatest threats to our Constitutional Republic.

Additional comment from candidate:

I believe very strongly in the possibility of the American dream. I have been privileged to serve our nation in the Marine Corps for 10 years. I was greatly honored to serve the citizen of Charlotte Mecklenburg for over 8 and a half years as a Law Enforcement officer. I have been privileged to have been able to serve the Lord as a minister of the Gospel for over 28 years in this community. I have also lived, served and worked in the NC 12th Congressional District for over 41 years. I believe my compassion for the people of the 12th, commitment to real solutions, experiences in life and leadership abilities highly qualifies me to serve the citizens of the 12th Congressional District. I believe we should expect our elected officials to represent our interest and not merely advance their political careers. America needs leaders with character, moral fortitude, a heart to serve the good of others and do it all with a spirit of humility.
