15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
The Founders of this great nation wanted to ensure that no man had unlimited power, that no group would have full control over the actions of this nation, and that the corrupt and greedy would not be able to gain ultimate control. Our Founders wanted a system of checks and balances, with separation of powers, to ensure that any action would be weighed and measured on multiple levels before actions, laws, and regulations could be passed and placed upon the American people.
16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
States Rights – The federal government is only here for the common defense and general welfare of the citizens, all other responsibility was given to the states. The states are closer to the citizens and therefore are in the best place to make decisions that best represent the citizens. Corporate Tax Code – America’s corporate tax code is ancient and outdated. I’d like to see America transition from a worldwide tax policy, to a territorial tax policy. Countries that have done this have seen an increase in jobs, as well as an increase in wages. Putting America First - We must refrain from being involved in every foreign affair, and start focusing on the issues right here at home. Domestically we have a lot of cleaning to do, and we cannot do this if we continue to be world police. We must start placing American needs first, take care of our hurting, injured, ill, and needy, and ensure that America stays the land of the free with plenty of hopes and dreams!
17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
While I am against abortion, there are times when I understand. There are certain medical conditions that make it impossible for an infant to survive, such as Meckel Gruber. Under those conditions, as well as to save the mother, I understand. In cases such as rape and incest, I believe that abortion should be allowed so long as there was a police report filed and all necessary documentation filed. I would like to see a system similar to the one in the military, with open and closed reporting.

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a devout Christian who believes that the bible is the unfailing word of God. I believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God, that He came in the flesh, lived a sinless life, took my sins upon His shoulders, was persecuted, and died the perfect sacrifice upon the cross so that I may have eternal life with Him in heaven. HE instructed me to love the Lord my God with all my heart and soul, and to love everyone the same way I love myself. I am no better than anyone else and I believe that we all need His saving grace. I do not look down upon anyone, because we are all sinners in the same boat.
