RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

It is not appropriate for Americans to subsidize this industry on any level. And I firmly believe, gratefully, hat this industry would collapse if we remove the taxpayer subsidies and all monetary benefits derived from the sale/use of post-abortion tissues.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

I do not support euthanasia, nor assisted suicide in general. Life & death decisions like these are tough, heartbreaking & never straightforward. From personal experience, when my 19-year old son sustained a traumatic head injury in a skateboarding accident I learned it is hard to speak in absolutes. When the decision was made to declare death for my son, remove ventilation & harvest his organs, we knew his heart would provide renewed life to an Atlanta man & moreover we would be reunited again.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

First, I absolutely oppose any form of tax-payer support for any and all abortions – domestically or abroad. Secondly, I absolutely support both the “heart-beat bills" enacted recently and the right for states to make decision, by public voting, on issues that are of a moral nature verses legal nature. As we know, something can be “legal” in a state yet still believed to be very much immoral by the community (think Proposition 8 in California; voters supported Biblical marriage, courts overturned days later). However, thirdly, I am the father of a special needs daughter that had a birth injury (cord wrap). My daughter is unable to walk, speak or read. She is absolutely dependent on others for her lifetime of daily care. But I am absolutely grateful for her birth and the ways Samantha has enriched my life and the lives of others. I would absolutely do it all again. However, I have also met the “full spectrum” of special needs children as a result of our situation. I must be honest with you, there are some children that are on such extreme life support you question your own humanity if is it the right thing to do. Sometimes I think our medical community keeps a person alive just because they can, not because it is right Therefore, while I am firm in opposition to elective abortions, especially as a form of birth control, I cannot speak in “absolutes”.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

Money is a proxy for individual work; a means to store up the rewards of personal labor, effort, skills & intellect. No individual should ever be singled out to shoulder the burden of others, simply because others feel sidelined. In a free nation, citizens are permitted to pursue their individual happiness & goals without harassment or burden from the government. They may choose to work or not work. But no rational, industrialized nation should reward sloth, nor punish individual achievement.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

Congressional power to oversee government spending is its greatest of duty. With national debt currently 134% of GDP shows their negligence to perform this duty. There’s two ways we resolve debt: reduce spending and increase revenue. Let’s do both. We must eliminate wasteful spending to reduce the debt, and grow our economy to pre-Covid levels to expand GDP.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

- Establish a Flat Federal Income Tax of 15% for individuals and a 20% Corporate Tax - The first $20,000 of personal income is not taxed - Initiate an Estate Tax of 30% on estate assets over $3 million; first $3 million is tax free to heirs - Eliminate all federal tax credits - Eliminate taxes on capital gains, dividends and interest - Establish an internet sales tax of 8% - Eliminate the FICA tax ceiling of $147,000; all high-income earners to pay Social Security payroll tax of 6.2% How this helps national debt: National debt is comprised of two elements: public debt of $30 Trillion and non-financial Private Debt of $27 Trillion. Together they comprise $57 Trillion of debt. Total U.S. GDP is only $23 Trillion (2021). It’s important Americans can honor personal consumer debts as it is for Federal Government Debt. Leaving people with more of their personal income empowers this. A flat tax on all personal income over $20,000 increases the tax base of our nation and permits high income earners the ability to participate in Social Security payroll tax by removing the $147,000 (2022) FICA ceiling. If someone earns $30,000 annual income they pay $1,500 towards federal income tax (first $20,000 is exempt)). This person would see $4500 withheld throughout the year and then file for a $3000 refund. Paying $1,500 of tax on a $30,000 income has a net 5% real income tax after return. Many states and cities struggle with unfunded debt. Reducing federal income tax to 15% permits states and cities to set adequate local taxes to a necessary level. Reducing corporate tax to 20% increases retained earnings. This favorable tax environment will encourage new businesses and help return overseas manufacturing to our shores. The low 15% personal income tax helps American families afford medical coverage. The low 20% corporate tax helps small businesses afford healthcare and makes fulltime employment affordable again. An internet sales tax levels the playing field for small businesses; makes the prices of local shops and stores more competitive with internet retailers. Estate Tax is unpopular; however, family estates and individual wealth will grow faster under this plan (lower income tax rates, lower corporate rates, coupled with the removal of investment and savings taxes) than under present law. Eliminating all taxes on investment instruments enables Americans to pay off their private debt (currently $27 trillion) and begin saving money for future needs. This plan eliminates the Alternative Minimum Tax.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

To protect Religious Liberty the Johnson Act of 1954 should immediately be repealed from the IRS tax code. This rule restricts 501(c)3 organization, specifically churches, from directly or indirectly supporting or opposing political candidates. This law is not only immoral as written it's selectively enforced; often used to threaten the tax status of conservative Christian churches into silence.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Christians live by faith and disciple others as role models; government cannot impede this this. Today, we see government coercion forcing people to act against their beliefs. Even worse, the government is compelling people to accept immoral, sinful behavior. This is what the Equality Act is about—normalizing sin. This must end.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

The culture of a nation and the morality of its people are more important to the success of that country than any form of government. A moral country creates moral leaders, while an immoral country creates dictators, out of necessity, due their own unruliness. America’s Christian heritage is the foundation of our culture, and this culture is the mortar that binds our society together. Absent a strong shared culture of faith, the only other alternative is a shared political philosophy and, as the Soviet Union proved, that never endures. It’s the duty of every American to be engaged in our government’s affairs. Conversely, the government must never engage in hindering the affairs of Church. It was churches that set conditions for success in western civilization, not governments. Religion balances the controlling agendas of government institutions with the principled agendas of the people. Therefore, a balance is struck between the two: church and state. One establishes regulations and law, the other promulgates a moral culture. Thus, the Christian culture of America is expected to keep government from becoming too controlling and corrupt by its own power. "[T]he Christian religion, in its purity, is the basis, or rather the source of all genuine freedom in government…and I am persuaded that no civil government of a republican form can exist and be durable in which the principles of that religion have not a controlling influence."--Noah Webster "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."—John Adams, 1798 As a republic, Americans must be the guiding authority for our country, but we can only influence our government and culture if we stand together. We cannot be divided as individuals, churches, or groups and survive as a nation. While support for Christian views appears to be declining socially, Americans who self-identify as Christian represent a little more than 70 percent of the U.S. population. That’s more than 225-million Christians in this nation. Also, Christianity is the largest religion on Earth and the United States has the most Christians of any country in the world. People often say America is not a Christian country. Seriously? We are factually the largest Christian country in the world. Hands down. America is the concentrated power-center for Christianity. Now we just need to act like it. Healthcare 1: Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations? Sadly, our government and culture already set this precedent, that vaccinations can be mandated. Generations of Americans have received mandatory vaccinations throughout their lives to participate in schools, sports, military service, foreign travel, etc. That said, the real question is whether Americans can be compelled to take experimental vaccines, or any other unproven medication, simply because an Emergency Use Authorization was mandated. THEY SHOULD NOT. Additionally, if an individual has achieved natural immunity or organic anti-bodies due to exposure, they should be exempt from vaccines intended for the same use. I firmly believe for any vaccine to be mandated it must first successfully complete robust clinical trials, be transparent in its development disclosures, and have FDA approval as being safe. Even then, the vaccine must also display significant efficacy over a virus that has a highly contagious and mortality assessment. When a vaccine, or medication, has no safety track record for individuals to review, especially for parents, and there is no proven record of efficacy, the government and manufactures have no right to compel treatment.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. Government healthcare insurance is fine as an option for some, but there must always remain a robust private alternative in place for customers and providers. Competition ensures lower costs and higher efficiency in the free market. Government funding of any individual service always drives up the price of a product due to a third party (public taxes) paying; college tuition and healthcare are examples of this.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C) The United States has become too involved in other countries policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. As a 30-year Marine veteran who served abroad, crafted U.S. Policy in the Middle East and oversaw operations in the Pacific for two years, this topic is important to me professionally and personally. War is an extension of politics. Always. The U.S. should never involve itself in any military conflict unless there is a compelling, vital interest for our nation to do so. If there is a vital interest the Government must clearly define it and assess the potential harm if military action is not taken. Even then, military force must be the “option of last resort” after all other diplomatic efforts failed. All Americans, to include service members and their families, need to clearly understand the reasons for U.S. military intervention overseas. War is a violent, complex endeavor that costs real blood and treasure. And once combat operations begin, they are not easy to extract from. I would further argue that consistent reliance on military engagements as solutions to global problems is an indicator of a weak, ineffective State Department and an even weaker National Security Strategy.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

I support Israel and their claim to West Bank and other territories; justly annexed after their victory in the 1967 6-Day War. Israel’s claim to these areas abides with International Rules of War, where an invader can be pushed back and any captured land annexed. Further, without these security measures in place, such as the wall, Israel would under constant assault by Hamas.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

China is not a peer competitor, it’s a threat to the United States economically, politically and militarily. While it grows as a military rival to the U.S., it poses a physical threat to our Pacific allies. Also concerning is PRC’s Belt and Road initiative. Under this program PRC influence extends into South America, Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East. China’s dominance and influence beyond the Pacific Region highlights the waning global leadership and influence of America.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Friction between Islam and other nations of faith will never end, not for true Islam believers. There will always be violence. We know this simply by witnessing their brutal treatment of Islam believers who violate the tenets of the faith. Infidels, such as Christians, cannot expect better treatment. There is also the continued, historic conflict between Sunni and Shias, that will never end. So, the threat of terrorism will be enduring. The best way for the U.S. and other nations to deal with this is to secure our borders, do background checks on all those migrating to our nation, and have measured, appropriate responses to all physical attacks on our country and citizens. That said, we should not become a police state. The events of 9/11 changed the landscape of America. From the Patriot Act to airport security, public buildings to individual data collection, Americans lost freedom. I’d rather live under a blanket of freedom than under a blanket of security.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Securing our border is my first priority; no other action is more essential to the security of our nation, cities, and communities. And I oppose any other infrastructure project being approved/budgeted until the border wall is fully funded and construction re-started. I will add, holding employers liable for hiring illegals, while our government lets millions of illegals walk across our border, is the highest form of hypocrisy.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

No public financial support of any form should be given to any entity that is in violation of immigration law. Again, I find it offensive that employers and farmers are held criminally negligent if they hire illegal workers, while our government encourages such weak enforcement of immigration laws with regards to border security and sanctuary cities.

No public financial support of any form should be given to any entity that is in violation of immigration law. Again, I find it offensive that employers and farmers are held criminally negligent if they hire illegal workers, while our government encourages such weak enforcement of immigration laws with regards to border security and sanctuary cities.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration is a valuable gift we offer to foreigners who would like to live here, it is not a right. We are permitted to be selective in who gets this opportunity. We get to set the terms, conditions, quotas, and circumstances. And our government has the responsibility to set these immigration standards high, so that immigration makes our nation stronger and more productive. U.S. colleges are expected to review all applications for enrollment and then select those students they feel are the best for their school academically, athletically, and socially. Government has the same responsibility with regards to immigrants. Those who align with our culture, have a skill/trade, are willing to work and learn English, have no criminal records, and are willing to assimilate as Americans are the best candidates.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

While I believe individuals have the right to live how they choose, their sexual identity and sexual proclivities cannot be mandated on others. All organizations have cultures; designed to create a climate of unity to support the common good of the whole. The military is a good example of this. All organizations, to include sports, have the right to be selective in who the recruit, admit or hire.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

America is not fundamentally racist. We are factually the most inclusive nation on earth. For instance, our military has more diversity by race, religion, language and nationality than any other armed force in the world. That should give Americans great pride. The political objectives of “social justice” institutions to label Americans as racist goes against the very facts listed above. For me, this is an invented issue to cause division in our nation.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Beyond my personal faith, I further believe America is factually the last Christian nation of consequence on the planet and as our faith goes, so goes Western Civilization. This is bigger than elections now, this is about the practice and survival of our Christian faith. In fact, I wrote a book in 2015 about this very issue, titled “Broken Arrow: Christ’s Last Stand.” We need American Christians to take a stand in this country more than ever, or the values and virtues that built this nation will erode beyond repair.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Elections are limited to legal U.S. citizens only. Photo identification , proof of age and citizenship is necessary to restore election integrity.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

There is no greater threat to our nation than election fraud. Voting is the only mechanism Americans have to determine the future of our republic and select their representatives, and that right must be preserved and safeguarded by the following: Voter ID (proof of citizenship and state residency). Paper ballots; with chain of custody procedures and mandatory retention safeguards for audit. Severe penalties for individuals convicted of voter fraud. Full and transparent access for all election monitors. Once a vote count begins it cannot be stopped until completed. Mail-in ballots must have increased safeguards, and must be requested by the voter themselves (not auto- mailed).

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

I completely oppose reparations in any form. First, on the principle that someone today is responsible for paying reprisals for transgressions of other generations two centuries ago. In such a case neither the offender, nor the offended are even a part of the reparation’s settlement. This is not only unjust, but there is also no manner to determine who pays and who gets. The true purpose of such discussions is to stoke division in our culture.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a threat to domestic security only in how several organizations, institutions and individuals are stoking the flames of emotion to start a race war, culturally and physically. “False flags” aren’t only used to start wars overseas, they can be used start wars domestically. As Americans we should all be celebrating the gift of life, the abundant liberties live under, and the myriad opportunities we enjoy every single day in this nation. Life is hard already, but it is a lot less enjoyable when people continue to stir up hate and discontent solely for their own political agendas.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Fracking is essential for a national energy plan; it lowers reliance on foreign oil, provides high paying jobs, and sustains businesses that provide logistic, material, and adjacent services that support it. As well, the role natural gas plays in our national energy plan must grow. Beyond the energy it provides, natural gas in needed to make hydrogen, ammonia and other important products, such as diesel. It’s an essential, low-cost resource for farmers and industry.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. Clean environmental programs are essential, but their importance should never surpass the need for maintaining a high quality of life for Americans. This nation will experience serious food shortages in the coming months, as a result of a larger pending global famine event. There are many issues responsible for the upcoming harvest shortages, but among them a primary factor is the “Green Energy” war on traditional energy and farm industries. Environmentalists have been targeting/closing major oil and natural gas pipelines that provide critical resources that support the production of fertilizer, weed control products, and affordable energy needs of farmers. In addition, environmental policies are the key reason for the extreme national inflation we are seeing in our economy today.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

My three primary concerns at the Federal level are, in this order: Border Security, Growing the Economy, and Eliminating the Dept of Education. I am also leading my campaign by faith. While every republican wants to make America Great Again, I truly believe that will never be achieved until we first make Americans great again. Our culture is literally imploding as far-left democrats wage a culture war on the very family values each of us tries to nurture in our homes. From classrooms, to colleges, corporations and the military, we see the effects of the woke culture as they work to normalize sodomy and sinful behavior in every aspect of our lives. This must stop.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

Criminals should worry about consequences of criminal actions; our police should never worry about consequences of lawful apprehensions. Law enforcement provides the necessary, frontline duties essential for safe communities. They should never fear retribution for lawful actions. Our nation needs to focus on reducing the rising crime wave of this nation and not the criminalizing of police officers out there every day trying to fix it.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

These are two separate issues, redirecting funds from one to the other is wrong. It’s true, mental health issues are on the rise & it’s a serious problem for communities. As a result, police are often called to deal with individuals in crisis. However, law enforcement funding must be maintained given recent events & the concerning rise of crime. The lack of Mental health facilities is concerning, as these facilities were once common. This issue requires public, private, &church based solutions.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I believe in the broadest support, and availability, of gun ownership for all American citizens. Gun ownership is critical for individuals for several reasons: life and property protection, national defense in times of invasion, and providing food efficiently (hunting) in times of unforeseen crisis. That said, in order to protect law enforcement, reduce violent crime and protect Americans I believe in strict enforcement of all gun laws currently on the books and oppose any further restrictions.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Dealers and manufactures of any legal, lawfully owned firearm must never be held responsible for the illegal or reckless use of their product. Would we hold the manufacturer of a knife responsible for a stabbing, or a crossbow dealer for a murder? The slippery slope of holding manufacturers and dealers responsible for the actions of an individual is absurd.
