QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

To save the mother or to remove a stillborn baby

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Our forefathers felt it was the most important liberty and it started at our birth. That is why it is the first Amendment

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Neutral

If we believe in Christ then remember Christ loves everyone. All men are created equal is written in the second paragraph of the second Amendment of the Declaration of Independence, we hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal that certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness We need to be kind and accepting to all our neighbors. Do onto others as you would have them do on to you.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

There should be a clear separation between Church and State.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

The United States needs to lead with strength. As we see what is going on in Ukraine and Russia superpower China and a possible Nuclear capability threat from Iran, Taliban rising in Afghanistan. We must be very smart and vigilant with every move we make.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

This conflict appears to never have a peaceful resolution. Removing the separation barrier will only enhance the conflict and loss of life. This conflict has been going on for too long. There needs to be reinstated peace talks.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

China is the number one threat to the United States. They are buying up American farms controlling American food supply, controlling manufacturing, shipping and pushing communism through America.. They operate both ends of the Panama Canal and have built secret Military island bases in Cambodia and the South China Sea. They are a direct threat to Taiwan and American relations.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

We must stop any funding that is being given to every group that has Islamic terrorism ties. We lost so many American soldiers in Afghanistan. Out of respect for their sacrifice we should never have abandon our allies. We should not have left Afghanistan the state we left it, leaving behind 7 billion dollars of equipment. This only fueled the fire for the Taliban to take over.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None, Personal health choices should be left to the person and not to the government, schools, or employers.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

I would rather see an employer health care benefit with a business tax credit instead of a government mandated system. Competition of health care providers is a must to keep the prices of healthcare affordable. For those who choose neither option there could still be Medicare we should always protect Medicare.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

It is irresponsible and unacceptable for hard working Americans and business owners to have to redistribute their income for others who have no responsibility.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

The government should cut wasteful spending. It is causing inflation and is harming all Americans. If they cut the spending it will also reduce our national debt.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Hiring 87,000 IRS agents at 6 billion dollars a year is unacceptable. Putting pressure on American businesses is harmful.. The tax code is very complicated for both individuals and businesses alike. We need to go to a flat tax system.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

We must secure the border to keep our citizens safe. The influx of fentanyl is killing our citizens at record numbers. It is being hidden in candy, prescription medications along with drugs. This must stop we have a responsibility to our citizens first. We need to allow our education system to acclimate to the overwhelming influx of immigrants across our southern border.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

We need to enforce the laws on the books, not pick and choose when it is popular politically to do so.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who is coming to the Unites States legally and not sneaking over the border. Without this our education and healthcare systems will collapse. Our country is made up of Immigrants and since the beginning there has been rules and regulations that had to be met. We cannot have open borders we need to follow the laws on the books.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

Absolutely, they must follow their code of conduct when it is consistent with departmental policy. We must not go to war against our Law enforcement. Our Law Enforcement officers face daily the worst our country has to offer. They need our support and assistance especially when dealing with situations and encounters with citizens in mental crisis. Police are our community neighbors, they live in our community and we need them to keep us safe.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

No, never decrease our law enforcement budget. It gives the criminals the upper hand and places Law enforcement officers and the law-abiding citizens in harm’s way. Our country has an overwhelming need to make mental health services, professionals, and resource accessibility a priority. We also need to work together with our community to initiate programs for all kids especially our at-risk kids. The people who need the most help will never benefit from the 751 billion green bill just signed

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None, The Constitution states the right to bear Arms, shall not be infringed. We need to remove and destroy the illegal guns. These illegal guns need to be off the street. We need to address the mental health crisis our country is experiencing. Our country has to make mental health a priority and not an afterthought.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Disagree

NO The gun was not the cause of this terrible crime. These crimes further emphasize the need for Mental health to be considered a priority and not as an afterthought. We also need to bring back accountability. Our judicial system is failing in regard to mental illness it needs to have the stigma removed and stop looking the other way. The person who commits the offence must be held responsible.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

1.) I am a conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

We need to address the homeless veterans who are sleeping in the street. These veterans gave us the freedoms we enjoy. They need to be a priority they need our help and respect, we owe them that. The Baltimore City schools have no AC and some have heating issues after these schools had money provided this years ago. The children and teachers in these schools need to be breathing clean air, safe environment for learning and the tools for their success. We need to provide programs to engage the youth to keep them on the straight and narrow. They need to see education as a path for success and hard work as a means of independence. We have an adolescent crime rate that needs to have consequences and accountability for their victims. It also needs to have a path for different opportunities. In order to be successful these youth will need all of us to give them a community they can contribute to and depend on. Baltimore has many problems that are complex, and the solutions take time and innovation and money. The Inflation Reduction Act is a 751-billion-dollar bill for energy and climate reform. This is money that should never have been allocated and I would never have put politics ahead of people I would be representing. We have not had Republican representation in the Senate since 1987. I believe an investment in people and their basic needs would have been a much better use for these funds. These funds will do nothing to improve the quality of life for Marylanders or Americans. It has nothing to assisting our Teachers and Counselors in our school systems. It provides nothing to increase resources for community-based programs for our youth. The poor do not drive electric cars or have homes to put solar panels on. We need to promote and inclusive economy because that 751 billion will do nothing to fix the systematic inequality in our state. The IRS is set to hire 87,000 agents to go after American corporations and individuals. This is very unamerican and no matter how hard they look they won’t find 751 billion to pay for the Inflation Reduction Act. The Inflation Reduction Act is a 751-billion-dollar bill for energy and climate reform. This is money that should never have been allocated and I would never have put politics ahead of the people. I would be representing. We have not had representation in the Senate since 1987. I believe an investment in people and their basic needs would have been a much better use for these funds. These funds will do nothing to improve the quality of life for Marylanders or Americans. It has nothing to assisting our Teachers and Counselors in our school systems. It provides nothing to increase resources for community-based programs

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

Yes I agree, and protection needs to be equal. Sexual orientation should be taught at home never in schools. This is a parent’s job.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Disagree

No I disagree we should not be teaching CRT in the Public Education System. This causes division and dissension. If we have learned anything over the last couple of years is that we as a nation need to work together and be united. The United States has been called a melting pot for years. We are a nation that needs to appreciate our differences. We are one race it is the human race, one day people will realize this.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in Jesus Christ that he is my savior. I am a Catholic and believe Jesus died for the forgiveness of sin. I believe in love, kindness, patience, understanding and acceptance. I believe in volunteering, community and inclusion. I try and live my life as if my actions are being graded and always judged by God. Ultimately my actions will define my time on earth.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

If we are to have confidence in the integrity of our elections everyone should have an ID. You need it to bank, go to a doctor and to cash a check. Voting drop boxes in Maryland need to go. One Day drop off and election day is fine. Open drop boxes are an open invitation for fraud. Early voting is an extremely expensive and for a large part a waste of time. Personnel, rental for locations, judges for 8 to 10 hours for a Hundred votes. This needs to go. Absentee ballets should be used for

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I would like everyone to have to use a photo ID and in person. Eliminate the unmanned drop boxes restoring election integrity.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Disagree

Our country is called the United States. There are many groups’ men, woman, African American, Irish, Asian, Catholic, Jewish and many more. Everyday someone Does someone wrong. Dating back to the thirteen colonies. The United States is 246 years old. There is no way to right all the injustices that have been done. Reparations should not be paid for the past generations wrong doings. Going forward we need to do better.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, Racism is a threat to our domestic security. Our divisions, prejudices’, divisive behaviors further separate our nation. We have neighbors who do not even know each other. We go shopping at our local stores and say nothing to each other. In order for our nation to heal we will need change our behavior. We need each other to move forward and to live up to the name our country was given. United States We need to be a kinder nation and a great deal more inclusive. We need to judge people on their accomplishments not on their ethnicity, religion, sex, or nationality. Racism is a threat to every individual, and we need this to stop. We all have the same blood that keeps us alive. We need to respect each other.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

Our nation needs to be energy independent. We have the natural resources and need to use them. We need to be environmentally responsible to ensure that our great country is healthy and clean for our grandchildren. Emissions is a world problem, we should not go to war with the gas and oil companies. China generates around 30% of all global emissions. We have have our own resources we need to use them. It would lower the cost of fuel, food and reduce costs for shipping.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

The Carbon footprint is being reduced each year. Our efforts are working, and we are 5.6 % lower for 2021 comparing to 2019 and is 21% below 2005 levels. We need to stop the back and forth between fuel and green energy. These two must collaborate with each other to ensure these industries and the people who work for them continue to thrive and innovate continuing to reduce our emissions. The United States cannot be alone in their clean air efforts. Every nation must have the same environmental advances because when our economy was failing, China’s economy was going through the roof along with their increase in emissions. This matters for the United States both economically and environmentally. The United States needs to reward innovation and cutting-edge carbon reduction methods. When we work together our environment and economy will continue to grow.
