16. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
Understanding mans sinful nature led to checks and balances within our government. Federalist Paper #51 says it this way, "...you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself." Elections, the court system, and each limit on power was a means for the people to check the tyrannical tendency's of government without requiring war and bloodshed.
17. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I'm a Christian, Husband and Father. Religious freedom is an issue I take seriously, and its one of the reasons I believe Christians should be involved in government. I sincerely believe that people are endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights that are not bestowed by a government nor can they be taken away. One of those rights is the right to life which guides my convictions that all human life is sacred. Therefore no one should be allowed to directly attack an innocent human life. It is my firm belief the federal government gains it’s authority through the concessions of the States, the States are empowered through the will of its citizens, and the counties, cities, and townships are where accountability starts.
