God is sovereign over all People. The People of the U.S. established the Constitution. The Constitution grants limited authority to Congress and the Supreme Court. Congress is to make laws. Courts are to render judgment according to law.
19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. His death on the cross provides the only way for our sins to be forgiven. His resurrection from the dead revealed His power over sin and death and is the source of all our hope for the future. The Holy Spirit draws us to Christ’s work of salvation through conviction and understanding, He actively works that salvation into our lives, and His indwelling is the sign and seal of our salvation. I believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God; it is my standard for all matters of faith and morality. I believe that God calls us to live our lives in a way that is holy and pleasing to Him. I believe in the sanctity of life. God is the giver of life and only He has the right to be God. I believe that God calls us to love Himself and to love our neighbors. In sum, I am a protestant, evangelical, trinitarian Christian.
