OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.
Strongly Agree
2. Election of judges by the people for a definite term of office is the best way to select judges.

9. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed by Congress.

16. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
They recognized the corrupting nature of accumulated power. James Madison was a strong proponent of the separation of powers. He went as far as saying the combination of powers of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches were the very definition of tyranny.
17. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.
Strongly Disagree
18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a practicing Christian. I try to live my life in accordance with God's teachings and commandments. I am saved through God's Grace. I believe in self-reliance, individual responsibility, and we should love our neighbors as ourselves. People should be judged on the content of their character and nothing else. A couple of explanations for the above questions. #10 - Government budgets should be truly balanced but I do not know enough about the stated methodology to say I support the prescribed actions. #15 - The US Constitution and Kentucky's Constitution give strong protections for the religious liberty. Our branches of government need to do a better job of protecting these liberties. #17 - Our Founding Fathers did not "establish a pure democracy." They established a Constitutional Representative Republic. Founders like Madison and Jefferson were very much against a pure democracy as the country would be damaged by the "whim of the majority."
