OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

In instances where the life of the mother is at stake and only if she agrees.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Neutral

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

To be honest I can't think of a single one that shouldn't be cut to some extent. If we reduced over burdening regulatory systems and took a deep dive into eliminating redundant governmental procedures there is a strong probability spending will be reduced. Just like most things big government requires big expenditures. Less government would require less expenditures. Most of this could be acquired through attrition. Basically, less is more.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

I believe our constitution was founded on biblical principals. It's not been until the mid part of the last century that this was ever in question. With this in mind I believe there are ways for "church and state" to work together and also keep them separate. While the United States has a biblical principal'd foundation it was also a refuge for those seeking religious freedoms. I believe we should use biblical principals but no one certain denominational creed.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Neutral

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

By looking at reforms in the medicaid program and other benefits provided by the government. Taking care of our most vulnerable remains a priority for our House majority and is demonstrated in past legislative measures.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

For over 200 hundred years we have had a very accountable and acceptable program for immigrants to obtain their citizen ship. I believe the current laws are sufficient but have to be followed and enforced.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

The Bible is the Holy inspired word of God and Jesus is the center-point and sole provider of salvation.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My voting record in the Kentucky General Assembly sessions of 2019 & 2020.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

My years of experience as an independent business owner, serving on a variety of boards, being involved in local and international missions, and most importantly serving my church.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Did not answer

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Did not answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Enforcing the laws we already have on record such as background checks with proper identification will be the best way to protect the safety of our communities.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1) As vice-chair of the HSC of Transportation I feel we need to focus on legislature to improve our infrastructure to insure economic stability and growth. 2) As co-chair of IJC Property Evaluation Administrator's Office Task Force currently in the process of identifying best practices to reduce redundancies, increase efficiency, improve processes, cost saving measures, and create uniformity among offices, I will use the findings to move legislation forward as identified. 3) As a pro-life candidate I will continue to work on legislation to improve, promote, and protect the lives of unborn children

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I'm concerned it may be more about culture than racism. We must not allow discrimination to take place against anyone regardless of color, creed, race, or gender. Every individual deserves to by treated with respect regardless of whether we agree on certain issues or practices. I am a proponent of the rights afforded us by the constitution. One of the most important is free speech and the right to peaceful protest. However, I believe when a person or group participates and promote violence there should be consequences. Domestic security should be measured by abiding by our laws and expecting our citizens to be responsible and held accountable for their actions regardless of who they are or the position they hold.
