16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
Healthcare: I am opposed to Obamacare and will vote for its repeal. I support a free-market approach to healthcare that is inclusive of medical savings accounts. I oppose the single-payer system and, in Congress, I will fight to make certain our nation’s healthcare does not turn into a single-payer system. Tax Code: We must reform the tax code and dramatically alter the IRS. We need a fair and simple tax code. As a member of Congress, I plan on leading the charge to explore ways to identify an alternative system. While there is no such thing as a perfect tax system, a simpler code would be better than what we have today. National Debt: Congress should have a balanced budget. I would not support a budget that does not have the spending cuts to put us on a path to a balanced budget. I would support a balanced budget amendment to force Congress to live within its means.
