16. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

The nature of mankind is to seek self interest and gain influence. The Founders had experienced being forced to do business within a dominated structure that provided little choice. They also were at the mercy of a currency system that manipulated supply and value while restricting their use of Colonial Script. They carefully defined, limited and separated the branches of government so as to allow the freedom of choice and to protect citizens from tyrannical authority.

17. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Disagree

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Constitution, Voters, Congress, Supreme Court.

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a practicing Catholic. I also appreciate Native American ceremonies and beliefs. I find great wisdom in the Tao and Buddist practices. I like to look for the similar foundational beliefs in many faiths and ways to walk with the Creator that provide a framework for moral authority and human behavior.
