OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

16. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

Individuals tend to serve their own best interest. Therefore, the founders set up the Constitution in such a way that no person or persons could hold the most power. This is a form of checks and balances to ensure that the United States of America would not become an authoritarian regime. The founders wrote the Constitution in a way that would provide debate and discussion before anything is enacted.

17. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Strongly Agree

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

Except professional sports, all of these things are addressed in the Constitution. Therefore, all of these items have authority and must be protected. In addition to this, I would change "voters" to "citizens" because all citizens have equal rights.

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God above all. I believe that it is because of God's son, Jesus Christ, that all people have the opportunity to achieve life after death in the Kingdom of Heaven. All people should treat others with kindness and love, the way that Jesus did when he walked on this earth among us. I am a God-fearing man that believes in the power of prayer. I believe that through God anything is possible. God has blessed all of us with more than we need. It is because of God that life will go on and an eternity of peace is achievable after death. All men sin, however, God knows this and we may ask for his forgiveness and will be forgiven.
