15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
1. Our national debt. If we don't soon get it under control, it will ruin the dollar and our economic future for decades to come. 2. The growing divide between the wealthy and the working man. We need to make things in America again, providing jobs with good pay, so that the working man does not continue to drop out of the middle class. 3. Illegal immigration. A lot of ills (ranging from lower wages for working American's to crime / drug smuggling are impacted here).
17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
I strongly favor adoption over abortion. But the Supreme Court made its ruling over forty years ago. Can't we just accept it, encourage or financially incentivize a young lady to chose adoption over abortion and move on ?
18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
If I have to pick, I'll side with God. After that, not much else really matters. Now until the Second Coming happens, I'd say everyone else mentioned is working for the voters.
19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Protestant
