OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

6. Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

7. Marriage is a union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

8. Efforts to bring Islamic law (shariah) to America do not pose a threat to our country and its Constitution.
Strongly Disagree
9. Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

10. Governments should pay to develop wind and solar energy solutions when these are not economically feasible.

14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
The balance of powers within a Representative Republic provides the necessary checks and balances to ensure that no one branch may consolidate powers not afforded to them. The Founders understood that the nature of government is to grow in size and strength to the point of tyranny, and without carefully defined, separate, and limited powers established, the natural rights afforded to all Americans would be replaced with the same type of tyranny that has ruled the world throughout history.
15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
I pledge to be a firm vote in favor of repealing the Affordable Care Act before it harms another American. Repeal must be immediately followed by a thoughtful effort to address the concerns of those who are left out of the greatest system in the world, while protecting the system the vast majority of America were happy with. The role of the next Congress must be one that defines the importance of a free market economy that encourages real growth, job creation, and promotes upward mobility through equal opportunity. I will vote for legislation that allows you to keep your money and gets the government out of your lives. Perhaps the most important issue facing America today is the growing divide between the political elite career politicians and the rest of us. Term limits are important in order to eliminate the "rules for thee, but not for me" mentality of many of our elected leaders. As career politicians continue to amass wealth and power, Americans are left to suffer.
16. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
As a Constitutional Republic, I believe that the legality of abortion should be left up to the individual states to decide what's best for the citizens of each state. As such, any exceptions to the question of abortion should also be answered in a way that best reflects the morality of the the citizens of each state. However, I do not approve of the use of tax payer funds being allocated to pay for abortion services in any manner.
17. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
God, Constitution, Voters, Supreme Court, Congress
18. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Growing up, religion played no role whatsoever in my childhood. It wasn't until my mid-twenties that I found the piece missing in my life was a relationship with Jesus Christ. I am now a practicing Christian that belongs to a non-denominational, Bible believing church. My faith has been developed through significant periods of struggles, including recovery from alcoholism at an early age and all the challenges that accompany it. I believe in a faithful and loving God that has extended grace to my life in abundance. I am convinced that my faith is the central reason why my wife and I are happily married with a beautiful family, a prosperous career, and the confidence to pursue my passions.
