In the 2021-2022 Senate Session, he voted “Yes” on SB157, which ensured that babies who are “born-alive after a failed abortion receive the same medical care as other babies, regardless of the circumstances of their birth.”
Manning was the only Republican Senator to vote “No” on House bill 68 that would “protect minor children from ‘gender reassignment’ surgeries and ‘cross-sex hormone or puberty-blocking' drugs” as well as “enact the Save Women’s Sports Act to require schools, state institutions of higher education, and private colleges to designate separate single-sex teams and sports for each sex.”
