14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
They feared the natural tendency of man to dictate the behavior of others. Checks and balances were instituted in our government to limit, if not prevent, tyranny.
15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
Defunding, and repealing Obamacare is of utmost importance, because I believe it is completely unconstitutional. It's failures are many and well documented. I see it as a thinly disguised attempt to control every aspect of our lives. Balancing the Federal budget, and starting to repay the debt(what a novel idea!) is critical. I will vote against budgets that are not balanced. I will vote against increasing the debt ceiling. It is time to cut up the credit cards and live within our means! If we honor the Declaration of Independence as our national birth certificate. If we hold these truths to be self evident, that all men have rights given by God, the right of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. How then can we as a nation justify murdering our unborn children? I will do whatever I can to end the national tragedy of abortion.
16. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
When is it morally right to put an innocent person to death? I believe life begins at conception, and that babies are innocent. I will defend the right of the unborn child to have every chance to live.
17. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
God, Constitution, Voters, Congress, Supreme Court
18. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born-again Christian. I have a real relationship with a loving, all powerful God, because of His son Jesus Christ. I believe that God has favored America, and that our forefathers formed a covenant with each other to settle this land for the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a Christian nation, not a Christian state. Our system of government is designed for a people that morally restrain themselves. I believe that as we have strayed from the Christian faith as a nation, we have been subjugated to more and more soft tyranny. I also believe that God will hear the humble prayers of His people, and that we are going to see a miraculous turn-around. America's best days are ahead of her!
