15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
The Founders understood the scriptures and knew that man had within him/her a sin nature. They knew that left alone man would use the system for personal gain and lose sight of our freedoms. They established a system of government that would allow certain powers, but not all power. They understood that man in his self would pollute the system, thus a separation of powers that would be able to provide a checks and balance system for the branches of government.
16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
1) EDUCATION AND THE COMMON CORE MOVEMENT: I see this a federal move to take over the education system and remove it from local control. We must not allow this common core movement to be implemented in our local schools. 2) THE TAX CODE AND THE IRS: The tax code needs to be completely reformed and I would like to see the United States to move toward the Fair Tax System. We must lesson the burden upon the people that are working hard and living from pay check to pay check. 3) IMMIGRATION: We must immediately secure the borders and enforce the laws that we have controlling the borders.
17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
Under no circumstances should abortion be allowed. Under no circumstances should tax payer dollars be used to help pay for abortions. Life begins at conception. I stand 100 % against any abortions.
18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
1) GOD 2) Constitution 3) Supreme Court 4) Congress 5) Voters
19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian. I believe the Bible is GOD's written word and it is still relevant for today's society. I also understand that we should filter everything through the wisdom of the Bible.
