15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
Centralized power in the hands of a few or even one, is too great a temptation for men to resist. They will end up abusing this power. This is why the founding fathers worked so diligently to set up a system of decentralized government.

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
1.) National Debt-we are over $17 trillion in debt and adding roughly $1 trillion per year to that. If we don't make sacrifices and hard choices now, our children and grandchildren will be left with no choices, crushed under the weight of our debt. 2.) Federal overreach-The NSA, the IRS scandal, Common Core...these are all examples of Federal overreach that I will fight at every available opportunity. America was founded and flourished on the idea that we should empower individuals and the communities they love. If we return to these founding principles, we will flourish economically and culturally once again. 3.) Protection of life-Just as in the Declaration of Independence, before you can have liberty and happiness, you must first have life. I was adopted, I adopted my oldest daughter, and my older sister was adopted. Unborn life has special significance for me. If we don't protect the right to life, we don't deserve the right to our liberty.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
Abortion should only be allowed to save the life of the mother. Even then, we shouldn't allow the more brutal methods of abortion, such as suction based and chemical abortions.

God, Voters, Constitution, Congress, Supreme Court. The Declaration, one of the most amazing documents ever written, clearly places the governed (voters) in a position of authority over their government, hence our right to overthrow government.
