16. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

As Thomas Jefferson said, "Men in power are want to mischief. We must bind them in chains by the Constitution." All men have greed and self-interest. Government consists of those same men, with added FORCE behind all government decisions. In the 20th century, America rejected the crucial concept of man's sinful nature and began thinking of government as a helper, as a good partner in business and charity. Progressive societies cannot long survive as they ignore the truth of sinful man.

17. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Strongly Disagree

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God Constitution Voters (i.e., States) Congress - Supreme Court - President (tied)

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

The chief end of man is to glorify God by enjoying Him forever. I was saved solely by grace through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ at a young age. While not perfect (though perfectly redeemed), I have pursued God as my primary direction throughout my life. I grew up Southern Baptist, have attended Calvinist and Charismatic churches, and currently attend Bethel Fellowship in McDaniels, Ky. My three political core values are: 1) Each person has a personal responsibility for a net positive contribution to society 2) Each person has full authority over their life and justly acquired property, and only that 3) The limited role of government is to protect my right to individual life, liberty, and property The issues I am most concerned about in this election are: 1) Reducing government dependence 2) Opposing federal overreach on topics such as Obamacare, EPA, FDA, and Education 3) Pro-life, pro-gun, pro-family, and pro-work
