14. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

1. National Debt: The death spiral of national debt has become our nations most serious financial and security threat. The imbalance in tax distribution among citizens threatens the fabric of “We the People”. This is result of a lack of leadership. Solutions to the tax issue and national debt can be seen at www.CopeTexas.com 2. Affordable Care Act: This has been used for the political purpose of social reconstruction without regard to the impact of citizens or the economic importance of healthcare. Unfortunately, repeal is the only solution and millions of American’s will suffer before those responsible (Democrats) will be forced to capitulate to a new solution. My solution can be seen at www.CopeTexas.com 3. Immigration: This is a “national security” issue. The economic cost is being passed to the border states and their citizens. The federal government is not living up to it constitutional obligation of border protection. My solution can be seen at www.CopeTexas.com.

15. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

I believe abortion is the taking of a baby's life, and should exist for only three extenuating circumstances: pregnancies resulting from rape, or from incest, or in cases where the mother's health is at serious risk. Pro-life forces must continue to work diligently so that abortion is never seen as a form of birth control, despite the insidious efforts of Planned Parenthood. I also believe that in the four decades since the disastrous Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that abortion has been a near-genocidal catastrophe in minority and disadvantaged communities.

16. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, the Constitution, Voters, Congress, the Supreme Court.

17. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian, and have been for many years. I always strive to live by the examples that Jesus provided to us, and will rely on those same guiding principles in my role as U.S. Senator. I value family, and am tremendously proud of my children and grandchildren. It is the future of my grandchildren that caused me to become a Senatorial candidate. I was afraid that someday they would ask me why I didn't do something when I had the chance to save this country and save their futures. I didn't want to have to admit to them that I did nothing. So I am in this race to turn around the American decline and give my grandchildren – and everyone else's children and grandchildren – something that any parent or grandparent wants: a better life than we had. I hold my personal integrity to be my most valuable character trait and, through God’s strength, I preserve and protect it at all cost.
