The important issues for me are economic prosperity, healthcare reform and truth and transparency in our government. On economic prosperity, this administration has grown government, raised taxes, and destroyed the environment where our economy could and should be thriving. I promote real tax reform, eliminating redundant regulations, standing up for free market principles. On healthcare, the ACA has been anything but. Instead of lowering costs it has increased premiums for families and has robbed Americans of the ability to make healthcare choices for themselves. Lastly, today’s lack of trust and transparency has caused significant damage to our political system. If We The People do not have faith in our leader’s ability to govern, our civilization will grind to a halt. I want the United States to remain a shining beacon of liberty and opportunity in the world. To ensure that, it is imperative to promote policies that empower individuals and not bulky government institutions.
15. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
I believe that a central role of government is to protect the least among us; to stand up for the little guy. That could not be more true than in the instance of the life and rights of the unborn. I do not trivialize the difficulty and fear of women facing a hard choice. No issue is black and white, which is why I support choice in the cases of incest, rape, and when the mother's life is threatened. But if sent to Congress, I will be a vote for life.
