-Reduce the Tax Burden: We must control government spending, balance the budget and reduce the national debt. The current tax burden is harmful to our citizens and our economy. I have a proven pro-taxpayer record from my time in the legislature and would work to reduce the tax burden as a member of Congress. -Ensure the Right to Life: We must ensure the right to life for the unborn, the elderly and everyone in between. I have a proven pro-life record from my time in the legislature and would fight for the right to life as a member of Congress. -Ensure Religious Liberty: We must ensure our right to religious liberty. As a legislator, I fought for five legislative sessions to help pass West Virginia's Defense of Marriage Act. I will stand up for traditional marriage and fight against efforts to force religious values out of the public square.

An abortion should only be allowed if it is necessary to save the life of the mother.
