America's founders believed the nature of mankind was "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

1) The federal government has engaged in massive overreaching of authority in violation of the Constitution and the Tenth Amendment. The government misled Americans regarding the attack on the embassy in Benghazi, directed the IRS to unlawfully target political groups, violated religious liberty through Obamacare, permitted the NSA to violate the law. I will take affirmative steps to stop such government overreach. 2) Our federal government is grossly oversized and many departments and agencies including the Departments of Education and Energy and EPA, need to be overhauled and significantly reduced if not entirely eliminated. I support a Balanced Budget Amendment. 3) For Nebraskans, there is a priority to focus on agriculture. U.S. agriculture policy should provide a safety net for farmers as a matter of national security. I will seek policies that reduce federal government involvement in farm and ranch operations and seek to stop the “war” on agriculture by EPA and OSHA.

No.I subscribe to the double effect principle (e.g. when the life of the mother is in danger during ectopic pregnancy).

I have been a lifelong and regularly practicing Catholic. My spiritual beliefs are strong and have grown over time. I consider them to be the foundation of my life today. Likewise, while acknowledging human error exists for every person, I attempt to uphold high moral values.
