15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

George Washington spoke of the "love of power and proneness to abuse it which predominates in the human heart" and warned of the "necessity of reciprocal checks of political power, by dividing and distributing it into different depositories and constituting each the guardian ... against invasions by the others." Of such checks and balances through the separation of powers be concluded, "To preserve them must be as necessary as to institute them."

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

The protection of life and traditional family values. I believe that life begins at conception and that every life is precious. We must defend the rights of the most vulnerable in our society, including the unborn. Protection of our Constitutional Rights such as Religious Freedom and our 2nd Amendment Rights. Our country was founded on these principles and these rights are guaranteed to us in the Constitution, but unfortunately we see them being infringed upon and eroded. Spending and debt control. Our national debt is now over $17 trillion. In 2013, the Federal Government spent nearly $3.5 trillion, while taking in about $2.8 trillion in revenue. This is not sustainable. Spending and borrowing must be reined in. This is one of the greatest threats to our national security.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Yes,only in order to save the life of the mother.

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Constitution, Voters, Congress, Supreme Court

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

There is one living, sovereign God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the authority in all matters of faith and conduct. Jesus was sent by the Father to live on earth; he was fully God and fully human, yet had no sin. Jesus willingly laid down his life and after three days, rose from the grave. With this action, Jesus fulfilled the payment for the world’s debt of sin. God created people in his image, and every person is special to Him. All people are sinners and need God’s forgiveness. Those who confess and turn from their sin, trusting in Jesus Christ and asking him to be their Savior, will be saved by grace and become children of God, with the promise of eternal life. The Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and Son to convict the world of sin and to empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. He lives in every believer and is a constant helper, Teacher and guide.
