The Founders feared how human nature, as shown by history, tends toward a hunger for power, with the result that leaders were able to infringe upon the rights of others. Those men witnessed first-hand the extreme fallibility and devastating consequences of one man armed with absolute power. From there, they chose to enshrine within the Constitution Godly, righteous, and necessary limitations on our government.
15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
End Deficit Spending. I believe we need to think big. It is not enough just to trim around the edges and expend political capital on small sequesters. Instead, we need to provide a vision for a small federal government. That is my central goal. Government Reform. Until we send the right people to Congress government reform just not gonna happen. We need leaders who will stand for the people not echo Washington’s party bosses. Many are elected with noble intentions and immediately succumb to the pressures of special interests. Truly Affordable Health Care. Before Obamacare, insurance companies had too much control over your health care. Now, government has complete control over your health care. Here's a novel idea: Instead of a top-down system largely run by bureaucrats, insurance companies, and politicians, how about we put consumers in charge of their health care decision-making and allow individuals to buy plans across state-lines best suited for themselves and their families?
16. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
Yes, only in the case that the life of the mother is at stake. I have been endorsed by Georgia Right to Life in all of my campaigns, and it is through those eyes that I would view any legislation.

I have always viewed public service as a ministry and, for that reason, I believe public officials should held to a higher standard of accountability. I hope the Good Lord Himself would remove me from office if I ever did anything that did not honor Him or His people, whom he gave me the privilege to represent in a fair and just manner.
