OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

Strongly Agree

2. It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

3. The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

4. Government should enforce laws designed to protect the border and to prevent illegal entry of persons into the country.

Strongly Agree

5. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed by Congress.

Strongly Agree

6. Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

7. Marriage is a union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

8. Efforts to bring Islamic law (shariah) to America do not pose a threat to our country and its Constitution.

Strongly Disagree

9. Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

10. Governments should pay to develop wind and solar energy solutions when these are not economically feasible.

15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

The founders knew that the natural tendency of humans to want increasing power would require a healthy balance of power built into the Constitution. The framers of the Constitution provided us the separate but equal branches of Judiciary, Executive and Legislative, each with distinct roles and responsibilities. As we have seen in recent Supreme Court rulings, this structure is more necessary than ever, and working well to create the natural tension of checks and balances.

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

Immigration - As a legal immigrant, this matter is deeply personal to me. I can speak to the issue from my own experience, and have practical ideas to improve the existing legal system, through modernization, border security and fair access to the legal means of citizenship. I am firmly against amnesty. Our country was built, and made culturally rich, through legal immigration, and to devalue that great tradition by allowing illegal immigration to define the system cannot be allowed to happen. Government Waste - Government waste is out of control, because the size and structure of government is bloated and unaccountable. Washington DC should be held accountable for how it stewards the tax dollars necessary to provide the basic functions of federal government. Health Care - ObamaCare should be repealed, and replaced with fair and free market solutions, health care portability, and access should be readily available through competitive, patient centric systems.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Only in cases where the life of the mother is in jeopardy.

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God Voters Constitution Supreme Court Congress

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian, and I believe the teachings of Christ to be the guiding principles for governance of my life.
