18. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Faith in its truest form is the belief in the things God has promised without actually being able to physically touch those promises. Looking back to the founding of this nation, we see men who had a dream: a hope for a way of life far better than what they had experienced to that point. These men created this United States to be a nation of like-minded individuals hinged on one thing: faith in God. The evidence that points to this is overwhelming. Furthermore, the genius of the founders was that not all agreed on the position of faith but left it to the individual to seek and find their pathway to God. However, the idea of unity in the concept of God is what united these individuals in their everyday life and in their decisions that they made to create this nation and go to war. Some may disagree, but I feel it was inspired by God. "How else could the odds be overcome in such a short span of time?” Recognizing these truths is an integral part of my spiritual beliefs.
