OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).
Strongly Agree
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.
Disagree
The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.
Agree
I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe abortion should only be allowed to prevent the death of the mother, or in cases of rape reported to a law enforcement agency or incest against a minor reported to a child abuse agency.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
That men were fallen. In fact it was Madison who noted that "If men were angels, no government would be necessary." Across the sea, Lord Acton observed that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. It was this sentiment that led the Founding Fathers to divide power as they did.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
That God is sovereign and man is not. That I am a sinner saved by God's grace. That there is absolute truth in God's law which if observed is many ways designed to protect us from ourselves. That we are here to love God with all our heart, mind, and soul - and your neighbor as yourself. And finally, that we will be judged in life in part based on what we do with what we have in accordance with the parable of the talents.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
Ranked in top 1% in U.S. Congress by National Taxpayers Union and received their “Taxpayers’ Friend Award” for the 113th Congress; standing 5th in the Congress for voting as an advocate for the taxpayer. Given perfect 100% on the scorecard issued by National Right to Life. Named a “cast-iron conservative” in the House by the Washington Post – a small group they considered stalwart in their support of conservative principles in Congress. Ranked in the top 95% of House Members by FreedomWorks, a group that advocates for individual liberty and limited government. Received the 2016 Conservative Achievement Award from the American Conservative Union, the nation’s oldest advocacy group for conservative policies. Called along with the South Carolina delegation “best in the nation” for limiting terms by U.S. Term Limits. Presented with “Guardian of Senior Rights” Award by the 60 Plus Association.
