OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I realize it's almost impossible to pass legislation without the exceptions of rape, incest, or life of the mother. However, even in these cases it is not the unborn's fault and deserves the right to life. I would vote to overturn Roe v. Wade and vote for a bill that is 100% life with no exceptions.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

There are so many ways to cut and so many programs that we don't need. The role of government is to have a standing army and keep our borders safe. Where does it say anything about studying the flights of butterflies, etc.? Welfare programs, money to the United Nations, personal projects funded by legislators for people who contribute to their elections, close the Dept. of Education, audit CDOT, etc. I know some of these programs are at the federal level, but we taxpayers fund it all.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means the government should stay out of church affairs. Our founders wanted freedom to practice whatever religion a person wanted without interference from government. They did not want a government sponsored church or religion. Pastors should be allowed to endorse candidates without repercussions from government, and speak out on social issues that are destroying the family unit.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

This is a very difficult question to answer! I've never been a proponent of government programs, and allowing the government to take over health care would be a disaster. There's wisdom that comes with age. I remember when the private sector was more involved. I will support any program that lessens or removes the government. More private sector programs should be utilized.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who wants to come in legally should be allowed using the process that's in place. I do agree with President Trump that those coming from terrorist countries should be extremely vetted or banned.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I gave my life to the Lord at a Billy Graham Crusade in Chicago when I was 16. But my church didn't teach how important the Holy Spirit is in the Trinity, and I didn't really understand what giving my life to the Lord meant. We moved to Denver in 1971 and went through a challenging time. At that time I recommitted my life to Jesus. I couldn't have kept the strong stands I've had in my lively political past without the Lord. I love Him with all my heart and strive to glorify His name wherever He puts me.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Here are some newspaper quotes from past elections: "Skaggs' rival again is from right" Denver Post August, 1994 "Like '92, David Skaggs faces opponent of abortion, but this one is a political pro" Boulder Camera August 1994 "Tancredo picks pro-life Pat Miller as running mate Colorado Statesman 8/10 "We are a straight conservative ticket," new running mate says Denver Post 2010 "Miller...had a very good voting record and won high marks in 1992 from two groups..Colorado taxpayer group, and another a small business group." The Colorado Statesman April, 1994

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am an avid reader. That being said, I've also authored eight books. I graduated from high school the fifth in my class. I graduated from cosmetology school and opened my own business when I was just nineteen. I have extensive leadership experience. I am self-motivated and love interracting with people. The grassroots political movement caught my attention, and I jumped in with both feet. Our country has been moving in the wrong direction and I am committed to doing my part to change that direction. Our nation has become morally bankrupt. Taking a strong stand for Biblical issues is not an easy road in politics but through the years my spine has not weakened! I don't waver on the issues that make America strong.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

America and Colorado are suffering a huge moral problem. The churches are part of the problem. Pastors are intimidated to not preach the truth from the pulpit to the detriment of its members. Our country fought for freedom in the Revolutionary War, and that freedom was won by a small group of passionate people. Gideon's Army was small. I want to be a part of the few who really want America to return to God and His plan for this great country. The young say going backward is silly, but they have no idea how it was. So many live beyond their means and struggle to keep up with everything advertised on TV. Technology is great, but it shouldn't take the place of family. I have a burden for the family and the many problems young couples have to face today. I believe one person can make a difference. I can't change the country, but I can do my part in Colorado.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

There are no restrictions on gun ownership that would protect public safety. It's not the gun that causes death, it's the person holding the gun. Gun ownership should be unregulated and free for everyone, not just the criminals who don't abide by any law or restriction passed.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Bill to protect life from conception Repeal so-called 'right to die' legislation that I called 'right to kill' 2. Constitutional Carry Law and Repeal Red Flag Law 3. Voucher or tuition tax credit for education Break the NEA hold on our children, take sex education back to where it's supposed to be and not encourage gender change, etc.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I don't think America has a racism problem. The problem is with a news media that promotes racism every night on national TV. A political party that raises questions of racism on every level is a danger to society.
