15. Please list your educational, military and vocational history, and any church and civic leadership positions held, and political positions held or sought.

My wife and I met at a Bible College 30 years ago. After completing the 3 year course, we married in 1985. I've had the pleasure of being a minister at 4 small country churches and an associate/youth pastor. Currently, we have a youth ministry in Bardstown, KY where our family picks up young people once a week to teach them a Bible lesson and provide them with a snack. In 1990, I went back to school to study Aviation Maintenance Technology where after completing the course, I was able to get a job with TWA as an Avionics Mechanic. I currently work with UPS as a Lead System Technician in aircraft maintenance. My wife, after 9 years of working as a cook in the Christian school that our 4 children attended, opened a small cafe in 2009 in our home town of Hodgenville, KY. I ran for State Legislator in the Republican primary in 2010 in which I lost. I was the county chairman for the local Republican Party until November, 2011.

16. What charitable, educational, religious, or political organizations have you been affiliated with as a member, contributor, or volunteer?

My wife and I held services in the Nelson County Jail for inmates for 3 years when I was the pastor of a church in Bardstown, KY. We currently pick up children on Thursday nights to give them a Bible lesson and treat. I still minister occasionally at our home church in Hodgenville and substitute teach for Sunday school when needed. We have contributed to Crisis Pregnancy Centers, Linda Smith’s ministry of rescued girls from sexual exploitation, and The Gideons International as well as many more over the past 27 years. We also give monthly to foreign missions through our local church. I have also taken mission trips to Mexico, Romania, and India over the past 10 years.
