16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
1. Eliminate the federal deficit and reduce the national debt. It is unconscionable that we continue to lay horrendous debt on our children and grandchildren. I am the Lansing leader in transparency in government, and will bring the fight for transparency to DC and expose wasteful spending, including corporate welfare. 2. Eliminate Obamacare. The federal government should not have control our healthcare and insurance. I will fight to return healthcare and most of Washington’s power to state and local control. We only need to see how the federal government treats our veterans at VA Hospitals to know that the federal government should not control our healthcare. 3. Secure the border, enforce our immigration laws and end our attractive draw for illegal entry by ending benefits for those here illegally. States should be allowed to enforce immigration law when the federal government fails to exercise their responsibility.
17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
Life of the mother only.
18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
