After being an active volunteer at my church for 11 years, I decided to go back to school in my early 30s. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies from Madonna University in Livonia, MI (1985). I have a Master's Degree in Theological Studies from St. John's Provincial Seminary in Plymouth MI (now closed)(1988). I also studied Liturgy for seven summers at Notre Dame University. I worked in my home parish professionally for almost 20 years, retiring four years ago. I was a Girl Scout leader for 7 years for my daughter's troop. I also served for 6 years for the City of MIdland on the Local Officers Compensation Board. I have been a member of the Midland County Democratic Party for over 30 years, have served on the Executive Board for over 8 years and have recently been an officer. This is my first time seeking public office.
