Graduated from Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Indiana and Indiana University, Bloomington. Did graduate work at Boston University. Had a long career in Public Radio at WFIU, Bloomington, Indiana, WBUR in Boston and WUOT in Knoxville. I play violin in the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. I ran unsuccessfully for Knoxville City Council in 2003.

Green Party of Knoxville and Knox County, Green Party of Tennessee, United Mountain Defense, Save our Cumberland Mountains, Board of Directors, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and Knoxville Opera, member of United Campus Workers, the union of University of Tennessee employees.
