QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Elective abortion should not be allowed. Every human life has inherent dignity and value from conception. The role of law is to protect innocent life, especially the most vulnerable. While cases involving the life of the mother present serious medical realities, abortion should never be used as elective birth control. We must support both mother and child with compassion, resources, and policies that affirm life.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The phrase comes from Thomas Jefferson’s Jan. 1, 1802 letter to the Danbury Baptists, assuring them the First Amendment protected churches from government control. It was about preventing a national religion, not removing faith from public life.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. Israel is a vital democratic ally in a dangerous region and a key security partner. As a Christian, I recognize its biblical and historical significance. We should stand with Israel based on shared values and liberty, while responsibly reviewing all foreign aid to ensure accountability, strength, and integrity in the relationship.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
I support preserving Medicaid and Medicare for seniors, the disabled, and vulnerable families, but I oppose expanding government-run healthcare. We should reform what exists, increase transparency and competition, reduce costs, and keep innovation in the private sector, not move toward socialized medicine.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Every Ohioan who works hard deserves the chance to earn more, and wages rise best in a strong economy not by Washington mandates. OH isn’t New York. I trust Ohio to set policy and grow jobs so competition, not federal overreach, drives wages higher.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
• Stop fraud and welfare abuse. • Audit and sunset ineffective programs. • Use zero-based budgeting to justify every dollar. • Eliminate duplicative agencies and boards. • Increase transparency so taxpayers can see how money is spent.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of the criminal justice system should be to uphold justice, protect innocent citizens, and maintain law and order. It should hold offenders accountable, deter crime, and ensure consequences are clear and consistent. At the same time, it should allow for rehabilitation where appropriate, so individuals who choose to change can reenter society as productive, law-abiding citizens. Public safety must always come first.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
Sharia law, or any foreign legal system, should have no place in the American legal framework. Our laws must be rooted solely in the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law. We must guard our sovereignty, protect equal rights under the law, and ensure one legal standard for every citizen.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The Second Amendment is a fundamental constitutional right not a privilege granted by government. Our focus should be on enforcing existing laws and keeping firearms out of the hands of violent criminals and those legally adjudicated as dangerous. I oppose sweeping new restrictions that burden law-abiding citizens. Public safety is best protected by upholding the Constitution, prosecuting criminals, and defending the right of responsible Americans to bear arms and protect their families.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I am a bold constitutional conservative committed to strengthening our economy while defending our values. I believe in fiscal discipline, limited government, and policies that unleash growth, while unapologetically protecting life, religious liberty, and strong families. A nation, a state and our communities at home thrive best when our finances are sound and our moral foundation is strong.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
Yes. Parents have the fundamental God-given right and primary responsibility to direct their child’s health care and education. Government exists to support families, not replace them. Policies should respect parental authority, increase transparency, and ensure parents remain the ultimate decision-makers in their children’s well-being.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
I believe marriage is a God-ordained, sacred covenant between one man and one woman. While government may define legal contracts, it does not have authority over God’s design for marriage.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian who believes in the authority of Scripture, the saving grace of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the call to live out faith with courage, conviction and compassion. My values are rooted in the dignity of every human life, personal responsibility, strong families, servant leadership, and the conviction that faith should shape how we serve our communities and defend truth.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
I believe we should be good stewards of the environment, but I do not support alarmist policies that damage our economy or surrender American energy independence. Innovation, market-driven solutions, and responsible energy development are more effective than sweeping government mandates. We can protect our environment while strengthening American jobs, manufacturing, and energy security without embracing costly, politically driven climate agendas.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Natural gas, nuclear, and clean coal are the most reliable sources to meet growing demand. Ohio needs dependable baseload power that keeps costs down and the grid stable. We should use our resources and prioritize reliability and energy independence.
