2026 Coverage

As we kick off the new year, candidates are racing into a high stakes campaign season with the primary elections setting the course for fall midterms. So I want to start the year with equal fervor by reporting critical stats for you to share—on repeat—with your friends and family throughout 2026 primary season.

·      On average, only about 65% of Americans are registered to vote.

·      Historically, only about 20% of registered voters take time to cast a ballot in the party primaries.

When I started working with iVoterGuide more than 10 years ago, I faithfully voted in most elections, but I also dealt with insecurities when it came to less familiar candidates and ballot measures. I assumed this was personal shortcoming, but I’ve since learned—no, it’s not just me: The election process is complicated. Why? Because our great Republic was designed to keep government control as close to the people as possible. While the widely varied election processes across our nation can be frustrating and confusing, this autonomy helps uphold our individual rights and freedoms.

At iVoterGuide, we exist to help you vote with confidence and also to become a go-to resource for your friends and family.

What About Elections Not Covered by iVoterGuide?

While we would love to cover every race on your ballot, we don’t have the resources to make that happen yet. As you follow iVoterGuide announcements and information, you’ll learn a lot about how to educate yourself on the rest of your candidates. (We hope you’ll also gain some insight about the work our researchers do on a daily basis!)

To help your search, our staff has written an article with tips for researching candidates yourself. The first essential step is to find your sample ballot so you know who you’re researching. Remember, we don’t tell you who to vote for. We give you the information so you can make an informed decision.

What about my school board? Many people have asked if iVoterGuide would consider covering their school board election. If you’d like iVoterGuide to consider your school board for inclusion in our voter guide, you can do so by completing this form. We consider several factors when deciding which districts are the wisest use of the resources God has entrusted to us.

Typically, voter guides are published on the website just before early voting. Since you’re signed up for our emails, you’ll be notified as soon as the voter guide for your state is published. If you want to get a head start in researching candidates, check out the newest feature on our home page, “Who Represents Me?” When you enter your address and click on the gold tab, you’ll find a list of elected officials provided for your district. Reviewing this list will give you an idea of those who might be on your ballot this year.

But don’t worry ... when your district’s voter guide is ready, we’ll blast the message through email and across digital platforms. Public service announcements (PSA) also will be made on American Family Radio.

Once you can access your voter guide, we count on you to spread the news! Did you know that 84 percent of people trust friend referrals over any other type of marketing? You have the power to impact every single election, just by spreading the word about iVoterGuide.

Thank you for your partnership and for being one of the faithful few who will elect our nation’s leaders in 2026!
