QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
I believe in the sanctity of human life from conception. Life is a precious gift from God and should always be honored. I recently discovered that I have a cousin that I never knew about. When my uncle was stationed in Germany in the early 60's, he had a relationship with a German woman that resulted in my cousin, David. David was adopted by a wonderful couple and had a great life! I finally get to meet him next month!
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Life Network, Save the Storks and Pikes Peak Citizens for Life all have great resources for young people with crisis pregnancy. Life Network offers pregnancy/parenting classes for women AND men, as well as adoption services. They also offer adoption referral services if that is the best answer. I am so proud that my school district partners with Life Network.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
The 1st Amendment to the Constitution guarantees freedom of speech, freedom of religion. No teacher should ever have to violate their moral or religious beliefs.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
This principle was exactly what our Founding Fathers had in mind when our country was formed! This is the foundation for freedom, private property rights, limited government, free enterprise.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
I believe education should be locally funded with minimal government involvement. I also believe that we need to get away from the debt yoke of student loans. When my youngest went to college, we divided up the costs with her and she graduated debt free 4 years later. She worked jobs throughout college and still graduated magna cum laude. We have set up college/trade school funds for our grandchildren. Every birthday and Christmas, we deposit $$ into it instead of buying expensive gifts.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
This is taking the place of the parents! No minor should ever receive gender-affirming care, period. It is NOT the school's job to participate with chemical castration or replacement hormones PERIOD.
Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
There has been a spike in student misbehavior. Clear and consistent boundries should be established and enforced in a school enviorment.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
Yes! We have recently begun to review the materials we currently teach, looking into the scope and sequence of those, making sure our students understand America's founding documents. We have them displayed at our schools. Evey year, each school submits their plans for Constitution Day to the school board.
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Strongly Disagree
I am of mixed ethnicity. I am a human being, created in the image of God and I expect ALL of our students to be treated with respect. DEI has had a detrimental effect on schools across the country.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
The best control is local control. We should not have bureaucrats in Washington DC dictating what we should do.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning
American History, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finance, Physical Fitness, Art and Music, Vocational Learning.
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
Parents should always have the right to guide and direct their child's education.
Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?
Equality of opportunities.
Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.
Opt in. We actually do not teach sex ed in our district. We teach biology.
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Strongly Agree
We have a program designed for this in our state. Several of our charter schools participate in Faster Colorado.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
Strongly Disagree
Vaccines should never be mandated. We were the first district in our state to drop mask mandates.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Look at all of my other answers.
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I beleive children are a gift from God and we are here to protect them. I believe that we should respect people with different beliefs. I believe we should set high standards and exemplify them in our personal lives.
Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
It is the responsibilty of the parents and they should determine age appropriateness.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development
Did not answer
Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.
Strongly Agree
It makes me sad to even see this question. Children, minors, should not be making these sorts of decisions. Their brains are not fully mature.
Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.
Strongly Agree
None of these belong in schools or libraries.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.
Strongly Agree
Children raised in a 2 parent household are more sucessful throughout their lives. A strong marriage takes work and brings stabilty to a community.
Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.
Strongly Agree
That right has been affirmed numerous times by the 14th Amendment.
Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Nothing should ever be hidden from parents.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
You should be able to show that you are who you say you are.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
If we do not take a stand, women's sports will cease to exist.
