QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Choose not to answer
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Did not answer
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Agree
As trained professionals, teachers should be able to set aside their personal beliefs to fulfill their role in educating our youth. A curriculum, approved by the members of a locally elected school board should reflect the values of that town and be based in facts and reason to ensure all students can succeed when they venture beyond the boarders of the village where they grow up.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
The ability for everyone in our country to obtain an education and leverage that education, alongside a strong work ethic, to propel themselves forward economically is a cornerstone of the US. When students are educated to their maximum potential, everyone benefits economically from the higher economic output that education drives. A robust, universal education system is at the cornerstone of every major economy. We need to invest in our future generations to ensure prosperity in our village.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Agree
Our professional educators deserve to be in control of a learning environment that is free from student disruptions. Particularly at the high school level, teachers should feel supported in disciplining a student so that the rest of the class can learn and advance. Without this support, the actions of a few can ruin the educational opportunities for the rest of the students. Additionally, this begins to set expectations for the workforce that the students will join after their education finishes
Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?
Choose not to answer
I believe that districts should have a process to review materials that are in classrooms of all levels if concerns are brought forward. However, it is not feasible for every single piece of print and digital material to be available. It would require an enormous amount of time and energy that could be better spent focused on our students. We invest in educators as professionals to teach, not to scan in documents.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
Understanding America's founding documents such as the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights is essential education for an engaged population. These documents encapsulate the principles and values that shaped the nation's government and legal system, emphasizing democracy, individual rights, and the rule of law. By studying them, students gain insights into the historical context, intentions, and debates of the country's founders.
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Did not answer
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Disagree
States and communities already have a great deal of control on the use of education funds and how funds are raised and spent. Elimination of the US Dept of Education would lead to a generation of students left behind in states and communities that do not prioritize education. This would decrease economic opportunity countrywide as employers search for educated and qualified applicants. We can look to other countries and see that centralized funding provides superior outcomes for education
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Disagree
Supporting public education is pivotal to our society. I believe in advocating for improving our existing public schools and elevating our public school teachers as professionals. We should improve on what we have built rather than give up, simply because the path forward is challenging.
Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?
equality of opportunities
Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.
B
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
Neutral
The decision-making process for school districts often involves weighing public health benefits against an evidence based risk assessment. Ultimately, the question of whether school districts should mandate specific health precautions remains a nuanced and multifaceted issue. It is shaped by various factors, including community transmission rates, healthcare capacity, and the guidance from relevant health authorities. Excellent communication with the community is essential for success
