QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I am pro-life and pro-family. I believe that life starts at the moment of conception. If we're not willing to stand up to protect the most vulnerable form of life, then we won't respect life at all.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I believe that often times that we try way too hard to include government in affairs that it should not have any business in. More government is not the answer.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Dying by suicide goes against my conservative Christian beliefs.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
I am a conservative with strong family values and Christian beliefs. I don’t believe in any individuals or businesses being able to force anyone to go against their faith in Christ.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
No Government should be able to close churches under any circumstances. Government both state and federal should be required to stay out of church affairs.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
In order for us to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism, we should stay Invested in the latest technology that makes it more likely to pinpoint these individuals and to pass harsher penalties for those that pose a threat to our national security.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
I stand with Gods' people. If we support the BDS movement I believe that this would greatly damage our relationship with Israel, and it will also harm their business's and it undermines their legitimacy to be a sovereign Nation.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Healthcare is a National issue but of course a necessity for all. I don’t believe that we should be limited by just the options presented here. I believe that we can sit down with healthcare providers, professionals, as well as lawmakers and be able to come up with solutions tailored to each individual. We should also include the option of leaving it between both doctors and patients.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
I believe that it should be illegal for anyone to mandate vaccinations. That should always be a persons personal choice.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I would love to get work with other lawmakers in lower our taxes because they are currently too high. Our state is currently in a surplus. There's always room for improvement. Less taxes allows taxpayers to pour more money into our economy.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I would have to sit down to dissect the current budget piece by piece in order to accurately answer your question.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
Our taxpayer dollars should be willing to support whatever it takes for our children to be more advanced than other States and Countries. If we chose to do such it would be considered an investment not a liability or burden. I believe in doing proper research before saying that I would be certain on such issues as this. My vision for our State is to be number one in education. We can make this happen!
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
If we don't get a hold of what's going on at our southern boarders, we won't have control over our country long. I believe we could build some sort of physical structure, increase troop presence, and utilize more technology such as drowns equipped with deterrents of some sort. We have too many great minds, technology, and resources to allow such chaos to continue to go on at our boarders.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Any individual that proves themselves to be an upstanding citizen and that can contribute to our nation as an asset to us should be considered to become allowed to immigrate to the U.S.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Agree
School choice gives the parents more options and it makes it more competitive in our education system. I think that it can lead to improved educational quality, increased parental involvement, greater student engagement, and more tailored educational experiences for the students.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I believe that our law enforcement should always be protected by the communities that they serve. I also believe that our law enforcement have far too long been under paid and underappreciated. I also believe that no one is above the law. If there's law enforcement found guilty of breaking the law, then they should be held accountable as well.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
I don't believe that we should take any funds away from our police departments. I truly believe that they are already underfunded. However, we should find funding elsewhere for mental health and community programs.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Guns are our 2nd amendment rights and should not be restricted. The only restrictions that should be enforced to protect the public are guns being in the hands of convicted violent offenders.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Agree
I don't agree with victims of gun violence being able to sue gun manufactures. Guns have been around for a long time. It's never been the guns or the manufacturer's fault that victims have been shot. It's the people that shoot people, not the gun manufacturers.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The general purpose of government should be strict interpretation of the constitution, the importance of individual liberty, free markets, and personal responsibility.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I've been told I'm very conservative just for the simple fact that I believe in biblical truth, low taxes, less government , maintaining law and order and personal responsibility.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
I'm not sure that there's much out that will validate my answers other than the circle of people that I associate with. My spiritual mentors all very conservative. I learn a wealth of knowledge from them. Maybe that's where I get my views from. To me- it just makes more sense what we believe.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
I have never been convicted of any sexual misconduct crimes. What kind of question is that??? Just strange to me.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I would like voters to know that I am an average Alabama citizen, just like many of you. I decided to run for State House because I believe that my diverse background along with the many personal challenges that I've had to overcome has prepared me and qualified me for this moment. I am someone who's accessible, relatable, willing to listen to you, and I am bold in upholding our conservative values. I am someone that you can trust to represent you and speak out for you. I plan to bring awareness to the importance of community involvement and engagement by forming boards and committees with individuals who represent every facet of our communities starting with the Spiritual leaders, educators, small business owners, law enforcement and all the way over to our elders and youth. No one knows best the needs and the concerns of the communities than those that make up the community. My focus is on faith, family, education and economy. I would greatly appreciate your support, your vote, and most importantly -your prayers.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
There are only two genders. Male and Female. If we allow this to happen then people will start making up anything and that will eventually lead to a lawless nation.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is not a marriage if it doesn't involve a person that's born a male and a person that's born a female. Traditional - God ordained marriage will always be between a male and female.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
CRT is another one of those things that I believe that are supported by leftist that want to keep us distracted. We have far too many important issues going on in our Nation, our State, and our cities to be distracted by such divisive agendas as such.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian man that is very strong in my faith that upholds conservative family values. I believe that nearly every crisis that we face begins with family. I believe that every evil and insane law that goes against the biblical principles have to first be recognized as a spiritual matter.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
If we allowed people to vote with no identification people could possibly commit voter fraud. Having identification helps instill confidence in our electoral system.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
The absentee ballots should be looked into more thoroughly to insure that we have fair elections and leaving no room for voter fraud. There should also be more strict punishments for those found guilty of voter fraud. Technology is ever changing so I think keeping a eye out on our electoral system should be a consistent thing to ensure trust for our electoral system and to keep out election interference.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I don't believe that we should allow any divisions to get so bad that it becomes a threat to our domestic security. However, I do believe that when we recognize racism or any forms of it, that it should be call out and dealt with before it spreads.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Reparations are another agenda pushed by extremist to cause division amongst the American people. Every person born in America has been given a fair chance to become successful. Any form of reparations without financial literacy can be a disaster waiting to happen anyways. There're many platforms out there that provide financial education. I believe that when people become more financially educated, people won't even make mention of reparations. There would be no need to.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
I favor hydraulic fracking and drilling because they promote energy independence, economic growth and job creation. Increased domestic oil and gas production reduces the reliance on foreign energy sources.
