QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
School should always contact the parent or guardian of the student first. Parents should always be informed of such life-changing events, and a major decision about an unwanted or crisis pregnancy should be made in the safety and comfort of the home. However, if there is valid concern that the student's health or safety may be at risk at home due to the pregnancy, then the school should consult with the appropriate authorities to help verify such concerns.
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Life should be valued from the point of conception to the point of natural death, and therefore it should be protected.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
I believe that the government has an obligation to provide a free public education for K-12, and that funding should come primarily from state and local governments. This will allow students of all socioeconomic status to have the same access to a quality education that will prepare them to be productive members of society. Funding for Pre-K should be available for those in lower socioeconomic status.. Financial assistance for college should be also based on assessed financial needs.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender transitioning providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
Students are distracted from learning when there is disorder in the classroom. Teachers should be empowered to maintain order in the classroom, and the school system through its policies should support the school's efforts to provide discipline. Consistency of discipline is needed to make sure that children understand that action has consequences.
Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?
Yes
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
As Americans, we need to understand the full extant of our country's history, and how this country was founded. So, we should all understand the documents and concepts that made this country possible.
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Strongly Disagree
While I am a proponen
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
While there is a role of the federal government to ensure the welfare of the people, including their preparedness for being productive citizens, there is no explicit mandate for the federal government to provide for the education of all people. That should fall on the individual states and communities.
If a member of the public flags (challenges) a book as inappropriate and the school board disagrees, should the board impose a moratorium on when the book can be challenged again? If yes, for how long?
Absolutely not.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Agree
I do believe that parents should have a right to choose what educational opportunities to pursue for their children, and funding should be available to assist in parents being to access these alternative opportunities. However, I do believe that public education is still essential and should not be diminished in importance. Not every city or county will have the opportunity to have a charter or private school within a reasonable distance.
Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?
I believe that equality of opportunities is needed to make sure everyone has a chance to succeed in life. Having equity of outcomes involves stratification of opportunities so that some people may get opportunities while others do not. That inherently is not fair.
Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.
Opt-In, and only if the content of the course is first conveyed to the parents for review.
Who should make decisions about whether or not a book is appropriate for children? A) the elected school board members; B) an outsourced community committee
The decision should ultimately be made by the elected school board members, after they receive guidance from the community. A community committee is only advisable if the makeup of the committee is truly representative of the people, and not just a panel of self-proclaimed experts.
2ND AMENDMENT
The right to bear arms is fundamental and must be protected.
Strongly Agree
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
Disagree
We have learned from the last pandemic that there is wide-reaching consequences from mandates. Parents and teachers can weigh their personal circumstances to determine what safety measures they or their children need to take. The school district can provide guidance and environmental changes in the classroom to make sure everyone can learn in a safe manner.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that there is only one God who created this world, and that, because of the sin of Adam and Eve, we are all born with sin in our hearts. God sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for everyone of us, so that those who confess that Jesus is Lord can have eternal life and have fellowship with Him. Humans can never reach the standards of God, and there is nothing that we can do that is good enough to save ourselves from the consequence of our sins and from Adam's original sin. Only Jesus has that power, through his death on the cross.
Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.
Strongly Agree
Children may not truly understand the permanent consequence of physical alterations to their bodies. Cross-sex hormones can permanently alter the development of the body during puberty, and it is still unclear what kind of psychological effects there may be from using cross-sex hormones in puberty.
If sexual education is taught in schools, what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
I believe that children in middle school is the age range that sexual education should begin. There is not one set age when that takes place. Instead, it should be based on the individual child's emotional maturity level and cognitive ability to understand the content. Otherwise, it can be unnecessarily confusing.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.
Strongly Agree
Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.
Strongly Agree
School children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming including drag shows and explicit materials with pictures of sex acts and graphic language.
Strongly Agree
Should schools be giving instruction on how to engage in sexual acts, the pleasures of sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or should they instead focus on educating students about the science of reproduction?
Schools should focus on educating students about the biological differences between man and woman and the scientific understanding of sexual development and reproduction. Abstinence should be taught as the best way to prevent pregnancy, and protection from sexually-transmitted disease should always be taught. The point of sexual education is to help children understand how life is created.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I believe that voting is a privilege that is given to people who are born here or who have earned their citizenship through naturalization. Everyone is able to obtain a photo identification in this day and age. There should be no hindrance to obtaining a photo ID.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Biological males have an inherent physical advantage over females when it comes to playing sports, and there is even a risk of physical harm if males play contact sports with females. Males have no place in female spaces. Areas like the bathroom, locker room, or bedroom are places that women are most physically and emotionally vulnerable. These areas should be protected from the intrusion of biological males.
