Church Outreach Materials Now Available

Nothing gets more to the heart of why we do what we do than this quote from Bill Federer: “The most important thing is to bring people to Christ. The second most important thing is to preserve the freedom to do the most important thing.”

Praise God that in America, unlike other parts of the world, we have many tools at our disposal enabling us to do both important things. However, this freedom is under incremental attack from many elected officials and judges who were either elected or appointed (by elected officials). That is why iVoterGuide exists—so that every Christian has the ability to cast an informed vote.

The votes of church members can be a deciding factor in whether our government will protect innocent life, restrain evil, and enable us to freely share the gospel of Christ and make disciples as he has commissioned us. Sadly, nearly one out of every two Christians who are eligible to vote do not do so consistently.

Should Churches Encourage Voting?

The Bible tells us that governing authorities are to serve God for the good of the people. In the United States, “We the People,” are responsible for electing officials who fulfill this purpose, resembling the public servant described in Romans 13.

Proverbs 29:2 notes that “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” If we have the opportunity to elect righteous people, we should seize it, and encourage our fellow believers to do the same. If not, how can we expect to have a righteous government—or righteous laws?

English preacher Charles Spurgeon put it aptly, “I often hear it said, ‘Do not bring religion into politics.’ This is precisely where it ought to be brought . . . We have had enough of clever men without conscience. Now let us see what honest, God-fearing men will do.”

Who Should Receive My Vote?

The difficulty with voting is often discerning whether candidates who share our values are even on your ballot, and if so, who they are. That’s why iVoterGuide was created! Proverbs 18:15 tells us, “An intelligent heart acquires knowledge.” That is our purpose—to research and acquire objective information about candidates, which we freely publish so voters are equipped to make well-informed decisions.

To assist you in spreading the word to your congregation or with other church members, we have created outreach materials designed to be used specifically in churches. These resources give brief information about iVoterGuide and provide a link so anyone can visit our website and access our evaluations of candidates on their ballot. These FREE, downloadable PDF resources include a PowerPoint slide, church bulletin insert, and business cards. With these tools, you can provide your fellow believers with reliable resources to equip them to vote wisely.

Your Church’s Rights

You may wonder, “Is it legal for my church to provide materials about voting?” The answer is YES! iVoterGuide is not affiliated with any political party and does not endorse any candidates. We simply provide the information so you can decide for yourself. Our promotion materials are nonpartisan, educational, and approved by our legal team for distribution by churches and other 501(c)(3) organizations.

Because this is a common question, we have also provided a statement from our legal counsel on our website affirming the right of a church to provide the link to iVoterGuide’s website. You will also find an informative pamphlet created by First Liberty Institute regarding the legal rights of churches when it comes to voter guides. Many don’t realize how many rights we do have when it comes to equipping other Judeo-Christian voters when they go to the polls.

Please help equip your fellow believers by sharing our informative resources. Imagine the impact the Body of Christ could have if more decided to cast a vote for biblically minded candidates! Together, we can defend our freedom to do the most important thing—share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
