Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Abortion is wrong. It is the intentional ending of the life of a helpless baby—a distinct heartbeat and "wonderfully made" soul. If, in extremely rare circumstances, the life of the mother is at risk because of the presence or growth of her baby, all efforts should be made to save both lives. Only in these extremely rare circumstances should ending the baby’s life be considered to preserve the life of the mother. Pro-life is pro-all-of-life. I support adoption options and foster care for unwanted children. I support pregnancy resource centers and advocate for compassion and help for women and families facing unplanned pregnancies. We also need to hold men accountable and encourage fathers to step up to the plate.
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Socialism provides a robust foundation for a stable economy.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Protect a framework of freedom whereby corporations and customers, employers and employees can engage in legal and mutually beneficial transactions. When individuals and businesses are free to compete legally and fairly, more people are hired and fired based on merit. Competition raises the quality of goods and services, of bosses and workers. Legal and low barriers to entry for entrepreneurs allow new jobs to be created while fostering research, development, and innovation.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Maintain low tax rates. Promote domestic and global trust by honoring financial commitments and paying debts. Protect private property rights and punish those who would steal, cheat, or plagiarize the property of others. Practice fiscal restraint and responsibility by spending, saving, and investing from a balanced budget. Guard against corruption and monopolies. Use tax revenue to defend the legal foundation on which people—in a competitive and free-market economy—are free to buy and sell goods and services.
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or business owners because of their deeply held religious beliefs.
Governments should not penalize those who define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I promote personal responsibility. Employer-matching HSAs are good; personal choice and familial investments are better. Private insurance options combined with well-trained medical professionals have led to the highest standards of care. Even so, the patient/provider/insurer relationship must be transparent and competitive. Costs and fees of medical services must be communicated upfront and fully before and after they are provided. Pre-existing conditions should be covered by family- and specifically-designated need-based funds.
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
I support sanctuary cities.
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.
People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."
Free speech is under attack on public university and college campuses.
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Human nature is sinful and greedy. If power is left unchecked, it can quickly turn to oppression. This is true whether power is concentrated in the hands of many, a few, or one. America’s Founders knew this and created a system of checks and balances within a representative form of government. The goal was to ensure government had enough power to protect constitutional freedoms while also checking the ability of ruling individuals to exercise too much power.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian by God’s grace. I believe in the trinitarian God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I hold to the inerrancy and sufficiency of the Scriptures. In the words of Dianne Feinstein, “The dogma lives loudly within [me].” Hillary Clinton would have me as a “deplorable” in her book. That’s ok with me because I am listed as “redeemed” in the book of life.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I started a beekeeping business in Brazil and worked three jobs in the U.S. before and during college. I graduated with a degree in Global Economics & International Business, served five years in the U.S. Navy, and completed three graduate degrees including a public policy degree from Johns Hopkins SAIS. I know one of the most important qualities a person can have—whether educated or uneducated—is a strong work ethic. A strong work ethic, life experience, and integrity are what I bring to serve.
E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I care first and foremost about people. My parents have served faithfully overseas for 30+ years in the areas of education and healthcare. My wife has likewise taught and cared for people in the Amazon and in the emergency rooms of London. I have served my country in the military, in ministry, and in the private sector. My calling to run for public office is an extension of a life of service. I understand that public officials are to be public servants. If elected, I will be so of the people, by the people, and for the people. My family and I want to continue to serve.
Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.
I support the death penalty.
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
