Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
If the life of the mother is at risk.
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
The simple answer is to just pay them. At this point we must pay the obligations that previous American governments have promised to pay. We cannot leave those whose lives have been ordered around this promise to go without the money owed them after having paid their entire lives into this system. The long term solution for this system is to get rid of it. The idea that the government will take money from you when you are young, to ensure that you have money available when you are old is ridiculous. That is not American. That does not foster freedom or individual responsibility. And it is ripe for graft and corruption of the system's integrity (which is exactly what has happened). But we cannot just overnight yank this system away (see explanation above). It must be gradually phased out, leaving those already in its care with full benefits, and the rest of us on our way to that stage with the partial benefits equivalent to the amount of time we have paid.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
All. Start with the most wasteful and completely Unconstitutional. But that won't be enough. Move on to the Constitutional functions as well and require them to trim down, become more efficient, and less corrupted.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It means that the Federal Government cannot pick a particular flavor of Christianity to advocate for and advance over and above all the other flavors. But it is an overused, and misused phrase. Very often by Christians unfortunately. In my lifetime the usage of this phrase has simply been used as a hammer to turn us into a Godless, and God hating, society. Where removal of God from every public space is required by the woke mob. I say that is merely the substitution of the Atheist religion as our national religion. Not a true separation of the church and the state. But a replacing of one church/religion (Christianity) with another (secularism/humanism/atheism).
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
As with all things, we will get better outcomes if the free enterprise system can be allowed to be..... well, you know, like the title says.... FREE. Government involvement and regulation (especially from the Federal level) always creates more problems than it fixes when it gets involved in trying to deal with healthcare. As when we buy an automobile (or most everything else), we should be free to shop around with the various medical care providers (and insurance companies if we choose to have insurance), and choose the one that best fits our needs in terms of services and price. I think that America is full of caring and loving people who would be more than happy to help their fellow citizens through tough times and great needs if given the responsibility to do so. I think family, friends, churches, and community organizations are the best way to fund medical care for those that cannot afford it themselves. And if a government must be involved, it should be as local as possible.
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
1) Attempt to build relations with friendly elements within the nations that harbor and foster these radical Islamists. There are those living there that would love to have an open society along the lines of our own. We need to nurture relationships with those people and support them in every way possible to change their government. 2) Use our military with overwhelming force when necessary to protect us, and our friends, from the danger posed by Islamic terrorists (or any kind of terrorist for that matter). The objective must be made clear and concise so that the American people, through their Representatives in Congress, can determine whether it is worth the cost in blood and treasure or not.
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Everyone should be allowed to immigrate to the US (within a reasonable (needs definition of that word) limit of how many can be realistically assimilated annually). What circumstances? 1) Do not carry any communicable diseases that will make you a danger to those already living here. 2) Do not have a criminal history and background that will make you a danger to those already living here. 3) Be willing to learn English 4) Be willing to learn American History, and gain an understanding of our founding principles 5) Promise to abide by our American values 6) Swear allegiance to our flag and Constitution 7) Attempt to assimilate (and influence like the rest of us are) our American culture
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I love Jesus Christ, and trust in Him as my Savior and friend. I look forward to the day when He will rescue us all from this horrible world of sin, and we can live forever with Him in paradise. I try and follow His teaching to love everyone (although I am woefully short of that goal), and to treat my neighbor as myself. I believe the Bible is His chosen vehicle (not the only one though) by which He has imparted truth to us, and from which a person's life can be greatly enriched by a thorough study and knowledge of its contents.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
Please check my position statements listed on my website at mizher.com
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
No one will be a greater champion for making the Federal Government fit within its Constitutional limitations. And yet, no one will be a greater champion for helping each and every one of our fellow citizens (God's children all) who need it. We must build a loving, caring, and virtuous society that takes care of the least of these amongst us, without reflexively asking the Federal Government to solve such problems.
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Prevent those with a provable history of instability and violence from obtaining them (of course this isn't universally possible). Require mandatory training in safety and proper operation, similar to our system for dispensing driver's licenses. Local community and government organizations and units that fit into the Constitutional principle of a "well regulated militia"
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
I don't like the premise of the question. What I hear it asking is what new ways do you want the Federal Government to interfere and get involved in people's lives. I am not running to offer better government. Where my bills and proposals win out over those of Leftists. I am running to offer smaller and less intrusive government. One that fits within its Constitutionally proscribed limitations. I will share my top three priorities though: 1) Shrink the budget as drastically as possible without such extreme disruption to the lives of those currently counting on the overextended largesse that we cause more problems than we fix. 2) Protecting the life of babies from being murdered. 3) Having America lead in foreign affairs to make this world a better place, spreading our divinely inspired values everywhere we can. But being careful not to stick our noses where they don't beling and being the "world's policeman".
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes. There is a threat of actual racism and actual racists. They do exist, and they hurt people wherever they are able to operate. And their ideology must be stamped out with merciless condemnation. However, the larger threat is that of fake racism. Today, we have so overused this term as to render it almost meaningless. Seemingly everything is racist, and everyone under suspicion of being called that. By doing this we are actually giving cover to the real racists, who are better able to operate under the confusion and murkiness of a society that cannot distinguish them from a politically motivated accusation that isn't based in fact. The hate, fear, and anger ginned up by these fake cries of racism has boiled up in our society to where we have seen quite a bit of violence due to this subject in the last decade.
