Qualifications

Why are you running for this office?

Why I’m running for school board? We survived 2020 together! We attended classes via zoom, had to deal with inadequate internet access, and we had to learn a new normal. I'm hopeful that our students and teachers will continue to thrive in 2021 and tackle new challenges in the months ahead. I believe public education closely bonds to the long-term viability of our community and its progress. With this in mind, our students deserve a world-class education while attending EPISD. I will fight to make sure district 4 has fair and equitable representation in our school board meeting.

A candidate's personal moral values should not be relevant when considering a candidacy for elective office.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Liberal

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

As a progressive candidate, I pledge to be an ally to our students, teachers, and parents. I will sit down with our stakeholders to find meaningful solutions to school closures in our community. I will engage with unions, students, and teachers to ensure that EPISD is heading in the right direction. Teachers'salaries and retentions are topics with significant importance to my platform.
