Why are you running for this office?

I believe the PISD board is not proactive enough in trying to improve the educational experience for all students. Also, as an Epidemiologist I am able to help guide the district through the difficulty of the COVID pandemic.

I have leadership experience through work and in my personal life, as well as experience with budgets and finance. As a mother of a young child I have a long-term interest in improving the school district and I am able to admit that I do not know everything and I'm not afraid to ask for help or clarification when needed.

I am not perfect (by an means) but I am trying to improve myself every day. I plan to apply the same theory to the school district, and use all my resources to make it a welcoming and safe place for everyone to learn, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or political leanings.
