What is the function of the local school board?
The function of the school board is to ensure the superintendent is operating the district in compliance with the state and federal education laws, as well as our local board policies.
Who should have the authority to set curriculum and determine resources used in those curricula?
The curriculum is the responsibility of the superientendent, however, as an a sitting school board trustee, I would hope to have an opportunity to offer any suggestions that I believe would benefit our students.

Why are you running for this office?
I am running to be a school board trustee because the residents of FBISD deserve a school board that is transparent, that is financially responsible and accountable to the citizens. The time has come for us to focus on our students, our faculty, and staff, instead of our vendors and local builders.
A candidate's personal moral values should not be relevant when considering a candidacy for elective office.
