I believe that we live in a country where we should manufacture all of our own goods. The United States is equipped with the capabilities to be self sufficient . Thid country posseses some of the most brilliant minds and hardworking people, so we should never fall destitute because we are strictly relying upon other nations; especially during critical times.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

None of the above.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

We all have a story to tell, but mine is a little different from most. I am a kid from poverty and a broken family. My parents passed away when I was at the tender age of eight years old. Not only did they leave me behind; they left me with seven other siblings. We were seperated into different foster homes and were not allowed to visit each other regularly; however, by the age of fourteen I was sent to live with a family that impacted my life positively. The Batiste family's patriarch was Laurence Batiste, and he instilled in me the importance of God, family, love for others, and hard work. Mr. Batiste better known as " Big Bat" showed me that I could accomplish anything that I worked hard for. I finished high school, got married, had two beautiful kids, and I started my own business at the age of twenty-two years old; I also went to college at the age of forty and earned a degree in Criminal Justice.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Continued screening of nonviolent individuals without felony records.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Energy 2. Crime and Law Enforcement 3. Armed Forces and National Security

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

NO, I believe that respect for authority is something that should be learned at an early age. If we teach our young children that respect is mandatory for those in authority; we would not have most of the problems that we are having today.
