Questionnaire

Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe that unborn children should be protected by law, and consider myself 100% pro-life. The only circumstances where ending a pregnancy might be cause for exception, would be the the medical risk of the mother and at the advice of a practicing Physician, in the rare instances a mother's life is at risk.

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Social Security needs reforming, so we can keep the promise we’ve made to future generations. Estimates indicate the program will be able to pay full benefits for the next 20 years but only around 75 percent after that.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

The federal government does too many things that would be done better by individuals or businesses in the private sector, or by state and local governments. Unnecessary taxing, spending, and regulating distorts economic activity in numerous ways. To succeed in eliminating waste and controlling government spending requires reducing the size and scope of the federal government.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

None.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

I believe we should keep government from interfering with religion is an essential principle of religious liberty. ... Thomas Jefferson and James Madison believed that without separating church from state, there could be no real religious freedom.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would support expanding MACRA, and bring meaningful medical liability reform that encourages a more efficient, coordinated healthcare delivery system.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

In addition to securing our borders, the United States must Maintain and Expand America’s Unrivaled Military Strength; Wipe Out Global Terrorists Who Threaten to Harm Americans; and Build a Great Cybersecurity Defense System and Missile Defense System, which could be instrumental in deterring attacks such as the events on 9/11. We must also ensure that our strategic allies are equally focused on eliminating radical Islamic terrorism.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Any Immigrant who goes through the proper process of becoming a legal citizen.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My Christian faith is at grounded firmly, and are the guiding principles for the Christian values that I hold. Growing up, I learned to honor God give thanks for all that He has provided. I grew attending Start Baptist Church, where my father has served as a Deacon for many years. I will stand against those who want to erase all mention of God and faith from America’s public square and public life. We must always be one Nation, Under God. In America, we have a God-given right to worship our Creator, WITHOUT the permission of our government. Freedom of Religion is a Constitutional right. No politician, judge, or journalist can ever deprive us of that right. Presently, My wife and I, as well as our two children, are faithful and active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, which is a member of the EPC.
