Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

No Answer

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Pro-life and Pro-choice activists need to sit at a table and figure out how to reduce the number of abortions PERIOD! Both sides should come together and be more proactive in educating young women to value themselves first and foremost instead of polarizing and dividing the nation over this issue. They are wasting time and energy by making women take sides instead of focusing on the causes of unplanned and unwanted pregnancies. Our young women are in trouble both mentally and spiritually and need help. How about both sides agree to work on decreasing the demand. That is an honorable and doable strategy for both sides to work on together.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

I have been paying into SS since 1980 and have often wondered what will be left when I retire. The simple fact is that the math does not work! SS funds are being depleted due to our demographics. The population is aging and retiring and now, drawing on their Social Security benefits. The number of workers paying into it SS is shrinking. Setting politics aside, the one practical solution would be everybody pitches in: the income subject to SS tax goes up and the eligibility age goes up(seniors will howl)and there should be income and assets tests so wealthy folks who don't necessarily need SS get scaled back(another howl). Everybody gives something and everybody gets something. That is the only way I can imagine we can keep this benefit for future generations, but I would be willing to listen to other ideas from all sides. Career politicians should have been working on this problem years ago. They knew this was coming and did nothing..shameful!

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Let's start with a 20% reduction in spending across the board! Certainly there are programs that do not work and will never work that can be eliminated.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

They shouldn't. Colleges should provide the loans and collect the debt by partnering with Financial Institutions. If they are willing to charge students high tuitions then they ought to absorb the risks. When I was choosing a college to apply to, I chose the one I could afford. Tax payers should not be held responsible for the bad investments of others.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

No Answer

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

I can worship wherever I want and should be able to attend church whenever I want. The Government does not have the right to ever close down churches or other houses of worship.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Bring it back to the States to manage rather than the Federal Government. Kennedy and Romney got it right in 2006. Romney Care worked well and should be template for all States-- Dial it back and move it ahead.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We have the Patriot Act don't we? Shouldn't our special agents be on top of ALL terrorist threats?

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who applies for entry into the United States and can show they are of good character, can follow laws and can support themselves should be welcome into this country. People who are fleeing religious persecution should always be given priority. That is how it all started in the first place 400 years ago!

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

No Answer

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a practicing Catholic.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Somewhat Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I am fiscally conservative. I believe most people are capable of holding down a job and contributing to society. People have to be held accountable for the choices they make but there must be safety net in place that allows for people to rebound Having to stand on ones own two feet gives a person a sense of purpose and pride. Socially, I judge people by their character and how they treat others. Having grown up with a gay brother, I know sexual orientation is not a conscience choice. I saw first hand the unimaginable cruelty he endured daily. We must respect each others differences if we are to live in peace. I am for ending the "Forever Wars" and focusing on making this country less reliant on foreign entities. Family values are important. With my children, I stress the need to attend church, atone for your sins and do your best to be a good person. Regardless of ones religious affiliation, the Ten Commandments lays out the simple rules to help live a good and honorable life

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am a Working Mom who speaks her mind. I've been married for 27 years to a school teacher. We are raising our four children ages 15-23. I am a graduate Weymouth Public Schools and UMASS/Amherst. I worked at the Boston Symphony Orchestra for 32 years in Finance/Sales/Business Development and Tourism. My job eliminated in August. I am an outsider- not a 43-year paid career politician I am beholden to no one My opponent tried to remove my name from the ballot-he failed! I am against the cancel culture I support our Police and our civil rights I consider myself a compassionate person I am Pro-Life and respect the laws of the land. I want kids back in schoo/USA back to work! I am greatly concerned that our civil liberties are in jeopardy. My father was of the Greatest Generation and we must protect all that he and all the other veterans fought so bravely for. We have lived freely and prospered due to their courage. It is our turn to fight for our values & the future of this country!

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None--we have laws in place that protect everyone and they need to be enforced.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Mental Health/Health care-The country is in the middle of a mental health crisis resulting in more homelessness, drug addition and crime. Our healthcare system must integrate mental and physical healthcare services which will lead to better outcomes. More mental health facilities with beds to keep the most vulnerable population off the streets and out of harms way are needed ASAP. Also, the lockdowns were disastrous! Education/School choice-The Department of Education needs to be dismantled and let the States start over from scratch. Throwing tax payer dollars at a failing system while ignoring the real issues will lead to nowhere. Education should be a top priority in DC right now. Furthermore every parent should have the right to choose what school is the better fit for their child/children. Military/Veterans Affairs- Start by ending "Forever Wars" while strengthening and supporting our military and those who have served our country. The Economy-We need to get back to work!

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Outside forces turning people against each other is a domestic threat, as is systemic poverty. Offering people a chance at a better education must be a priority. This can be done through school choice. Also, funding economic opportunity zones will have a positive impact on neighborhoods that are struggling and feel left out of the American dream. People from all walks of life should be given opportunities to flourish. The United States Congress needs to act on these initiatives to get the ball rolling in a more peaceful and positive direction. No one wants to feel afraid in their homes and in the United States of America they shouldn't have to!
